Sydney: In December 2024, Paramount Sydney’s wardrobe sale raised $14,600 for Musicians Making A Difference, supporting youth through music. The successful event showcased over 1,000 pre-loved items, highlighting the company’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.

In December 2024, Paramount Sydney held an elaborate wardrobe sale that transformed pre-loved fashion into a fundraising initiative, generating significant support for local youth programs. The event featured a diverse collection of over 1,000 items from the studio’s wardrobe department, offering staff members an opportunity to purchase designer pieces at accessible prices.

The key objective of the sale was to raise funds for Musicians Making A Difference (MMAD), an organisation dedicated to supporting young individuals through music and community engagement. The event proved to be fruitful, with Sydney staff collectively raising an impressive total of $14,600 for the charity.

Rod Prosser, the chief sales officer at Paramount Australia, highlighted the company’s commitment to creating positive change in the lives of young people. “At Paramount, our partnership with UnLtd and support of organisations like MMAD reflects our deep commitment to creating positive change in young people’s lives,” he stated. Prosser emphasised the innovative spirit of the staff in contributing to such causes, expressing pride in their dedication to community engagement.

In addition to supporting MMAD, the wardrobe sale also ensured that any unsold items were redistributed with purpose. Remaining clothing finds new life through partnerships with Dress for Success, Dress For Work, and Salvos Stores, thereby extending the reach of the initiative to benefit various groups in need.

Anna Hohenboken, acting CEO of MMAD, expressed gratitude for the support received during the sale. “Hey, Team Paramount! Because of your generous support, we were able to run some truly special drop-in sessions for our young people over the holiday season – fully catered, fully funded, and full of connection, creativity and care,” she said. Hohenboken noted the impact of the donations during a time that can be challenging for many young people, highlighting the importance of fostering a sense of connection and belonging.

This wardrobe sale reflects Paramount Australia’s commitment to social responsibility and sustainability, evident through its membership in Sustainable Screens Australia. The successful initiative is part of a broader strategy that has seen the company maintain a strong partnership with UnLtd since 2014, enabling its employees to engage in numerous giving efforts designed to make a meaningful impact in the community.

MMAD stands as one of the earliest charities supported by Paramount through Network 10, signifying the company’s enduring dedication to philanthropic initiatives aimed at uplifting young individuals and enhancing their life experiences.
