The fall 2025 fashion season concludes with a spotlight on key designers and the opening of applications for the prestigious CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.
The fall 2025 fashion collections officially concluded last night in Paris, marking the end of an eventful season that began with a notable return to the runway. Christopher John Rogers debuted at New York Fashion Week, and his presence was coupled with standout presentations, notably from Rachel Scott for her brand Diotima. The season also featured a significant GQ and Bode extravaganza led by designer Emily Adams Bode Aujla in New Orleans, coinciding with the excitement leading up to the Super Bowl. These three designers have emerged as pivotal figures in American fashion and share a common history; all were finalists for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.
As excitement in the fashion world continues, applications for the 2025 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund opened this morning at 9 AM EST and will remain open until 11:59 PM EST on Friday, March 21, 2025. The competition will culminate in the selection of 10 finalists, revealed by the Fund’s Selection Committee in June.
To qualify for the Fund, designers must have been operating for a minimum of two years and their primary business must be based in the United States. Additional criteria dictate that applicants should have no more than 30 full-time employees and total annual revenue must not exceed $10 million.
The Selection Committee for this prestigious fund includes industry heavyweights such as Anna Wintour, Chief Content Officer at Condé Nast and Global Editorial Director of Vogue; CFDA CEO Steven Kolb; CFDA Chairman Thom Browne; Vogue’s Mark Holgate; Vogue Runway Director Nicole Phelps; and Instagram’s Eva Chen. They are joined by Rickie De Sole of Nordstrom; model Paloma Elsesser; Aurora James, founder of Brother Vellies and the Fifteen Percent Pledge; and Roopal Patel from Saks Fifth Avenue.
With the stage now set for new talent to potentially emerge from these applications, the fashion industry holds its breath to witness who the next trailblazing designers will be. The Vogue is reporting that this fund continues to be a significant avenue for nurturing and promoting innovative fashion talent in the United States.
