The new Rachel Comey Archive offers curated collections and unique features to enhance secondhand shopping for brand enthusiasts.

Rachel Comey, a prominent designer brand, has introduced a revamped resale experience under the new moniker “Rachel Comey Archive.” This shift is aimed at enhancing the shopping experience for consumers by introducing exclusive features designed to spotlight unique items. The initiative is powered through partnerships with re-commerce experts Archive and Tersus Solutions, both of which are integral to the platform’s operational framework.

The Rachel Comey Archive platform will present curated collections that include one-of-a-kind pieces, some of which have never been produced before. This initiative is intended to streamline the process for brand enthusiasts to discover pre-loved treasures and unique finds.

Among the innovative features introduced are “Hidden Gems,” a collection showcasing one-of-a-kind items ranging from unreleased samples to favored styles from past collections. Additionally, the platform will include an “In Search Of” feature, allowing customers to request items from previous collections while connecting with others who own those items, fostering opportunities for resale and discovery.

The brand assures that shoppers can still buy and sell pre-loved items, but now with an improved and more refined user experience. Tersus Solutions will oversee the management of inventory intake and fulfillment, including the unique “Hidden Gems” pieces as well as new items from past collections that still carry their original tags.

Caitlin Wiman, the director of e-commerce at Rachel Comey, articulated the brand’s philosophy regarding fashion sustainability, stating, “We always believed in the timelessness of great design and the importance of keeping clothing in circulation for as long as possible.” She added that the new partnerships with Archive and Tersus Solutions aim to evolve the secondhand shopping experience into a more curated and premium offering, making it simpler for the community to find and rehome cherished pieces.

Furthermore, Wiman indicated that expanding the program to incorporate one-of-a-kind samples and well-regarded styles from earlier collections not only celebrates the enduring quality of their designs but also represents a significant step towards a circular and sustainable future in fashion.

Emily Gittins, chief executive officer and co-founder of Archive, emphasized the artistry and craftsmanship associated with Rachel Comey. “We’re excited to help bring that same level of intention to resale,” she remarked. Gittins further noted, “With Rachel Comey Archive, we’re creating a more elevated and seamless secondhand experience — one that gives customers a new way to discover rare pieces, find long-lost favorites, and participate in a more circular fashion model.” She concluded by stating that this initiative enhances accessibility to resale options while underscoring the importance of extending the life of high-quality fashion.
