The Bridge introduces BRIDGE HOT100 in collaboration with Accenture Ventures to spotlight startups transforming society through technology.

The Bridge has announced the commencement of a new series called BRIDGE HOT100 in collaboration with Accenture Ventures, which aims to explore the rapidly evolving landscape of startups influenced by generative AI. The announcement follows positive responses and feedback received on a recent message emphasizing a return to basics and reflecting on the organization’s objectives for the new year.

Kigoyama, a curator at The Bridge, indicated that while the organization continues to make gradual adjustments, it also embraces new initiatives to keep pace with the significant changes technology brings. The HOT100 series originally started last year as a chart project to monitor startup activities, but has now evolved into an interview series targeting companies that are making impactful contributions to society via integration of technology and data.

The introduction of the series comes at a time when generative AI is reshaping work methodologies, a shift illustrated by the popularity of Kazuhiko Toyama’s recent book, “Disappearance of White Collar Workers.” As this paradigm shift occurs, The Bridge is keen on examining how startups and technology can drive societal changes. The selected theme for the interviews is “integration,” focusing on startups that possess transformative technologies or data that can contribute to societal implementation.

Kigoyama noted that approximately ten startups have already been interviewed, with a goal of reaching one hundred over the next year. In addition to The Bridge HOT100, the organization plans to introduce new sections, including “Tokyo Fusion,” detailing the journey of startups in securing funding, M&A activities, and IPOs, and “JUNCTION,” which will focus on discussions around the startup ecosystem and collaborations with corporate partners.

The overarching goal of these endeavors is to increase the network of relationships related to startups. This initiative resonates with The Bridge’s foundational aim of creating a meeting ground for fledgling startups to connect with investors, potential partners, and future team members.

Kigoyama expressed anticipation for further announcements related to new initiatives during the month and conveyed gratitude for the continued support and readership from the community. As the landscape of technology and startups evolves, The Bridge is committed to contributing to the growth and visibility of emerging entrepreneurs and their innovations.
