Luxury brand Brandon Blackwood teams up with Radial to improve direct-to-consumer order accuracy and inventory management, enhancing customer satisfaction amid business growth.

Luxury handbag and accessories brand Brandon Blackwood has taken significant steps to enhance the accuracy of its direct-to-consumer order fulfillment by partnering with third-party logistics provider (3PL) Radial. The collaboration aims to address challenges related to inventory management and ensure customers receive the correct items promptly.

Neema Frazier, Brandon Blackwood’s director of logistics, recently discussed with Chain Store Age the company’s efforts to optimize order accuracy and streamline supply chain operations. According to Frazier, previous difficulties with inventory numerical accuracy were a major concern. “Our previous third-party logistics provider (3PL) did not have the proper support in place to handle our expanding SKU count, which would cause major reporting issues,” she explained. These issues led to instances where products were either oversold or undersold, in turn affecting customer satisfaction due to delayed deliveries.

In response to these fulfillment challenges, Brandon Blackwood decided to implement Radial’s inventory management technology alongside 3PL services. Radial’s system is tailored to support the brand’s extensive and growing SKU assortment and to improve overall operational efficiency. Frazier emphasized the importance of this partnership by noting, “More than 75% of our business is business-to-consumer-related, and it is imperative our 3PL partner can not only sustain our order flow but also teach us and integrate new ways to improve it.”

The brand also prioritized finding a logistics partner who views fulfillment as an extension of the brand itself, recognizing that meticulous logistical execution directly impacts the customer experience. Frazier summarized this approach by saying, “We needed a 3PL partner who understood that fulfillment is an extension of our brand and that every logistical task is vital to our customer experience.”

Alongside inventory and fulfillment improvements, Frazier provided insights into how retailers like Brandon Blackwood are managing the impacts of tariffs on their supply chain operations, though specific strategies were not detailed in the interview.

With these strategic partnerships and technology integrations, Brandon Blackwood is working to maintain high standards in order accuracy and customer satisfaction as it continues to expand its product offerings.
