Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown celebrates Earth Day with a sustainability panel discussion on art and fashion, followed by a Korean art exhibition featuring works from Yerim Lee, Saleign, and Doyim Kim as part of the Korean Art Path initiative.

Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown is set to host a vibrant series of events this week, featuring an array of artistic showcases, insightful discussions, and cultural celebrations. The hotel, known for its creative ethos, continues to merge art, design, and everyday experiences, offering guests an immersive cultural journey.

On April 22, in observance of Earth Day, the hotel will hold a panel discussion titled “Sustainability in Art & Fashion.” This event aims to engage eco-conscious individuals across generations in a dialogue centered around sustainability’s influence on the creative sectors. The panel comprises several noteworthy participants, including Conor O’Sullivan, a Sustainability Expert from Dubai British School Jumeirah Park; sculptor and artist Marita Setas Ferro; Amina Musaeva, founder of the digital wardrobe platform; and representatives from sustainable fashion concept stores. Pierette Yammine, founder of Savoir Arabia, will moderate the discussion, which will explore topics such as the integration of recycled materials in art and fashion, the environmental impacts of clothing consumption, and the accessibility of sustainable fashion. The evening will culminate in an art exhibition displaying sustainable pieces crafted from repurposed materials. This event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Open Sesame venue within Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown.

Following this, starting April 25, Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown will celebrate Korean art through a special event spotlighting the works of artists Yerim Lee, Saleign, and Doyim Kim. The event, held on the Open Sesame terrace, highlights the growing presence of Korean creatives in Dubai’s art scene. Guests will have the opportunity to engage with a pop-up exhibition of Yerim Lee’s unique works within the hotel starting April 26 while also exploring pieces by Saleign and Doyim Kim. These artists are visiting from Korea as part of the Korean Art Path initiative, a collaboration involving the Korean Consulate and curated by Sehee Lee, founder of the art collective Not A Galerie. Alongside their exhibition at Hotel Indigo, the artists will present additional installations at World Art Dubai and at the Tomini Cars Showroom, broadening the reach of their creative expressions.

These events showcase Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown’s commitment to fostering cultural dialogues and supporting innovative artistic endeavors within the city’s dynamic cultural landscape.
