Actress Yara Shahidi appeared in a tonal green Gucci suit paired with striking deep red Horsebit slingback heels at the Gucci Women’s Fall/Winter 2025/2026 Fashion Show during Milan Fashion Week, continuing the trend of platform slingbacks among celebrities.

On February 25, 2025, actress Yara Shahidi attended the Gucci Women’s Fall/Winter 2025/2026 Fashion Show held during Milan Fashion Week Womenswear in Milan, Italy. Shahidi was seated in the front row among other notable attendees, including Julia Garner, Jessica Chastain, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Parker Posey, and Dev Patel.

For the occasion, Shahidi wore a tonal green jacket and trouser set complemented by a pair of striking Gucci Horsebit slingback heels. These heels featured a distinctive silver Horsebit detail on the front—a signature design element of Gucci that reflects the brand’s equestrian heritage.

The shoes Shahidi wore were a deep red color, consistent with the shade known as Rosso Ancora, a rich burgundy hue that was emphasized during Sabato de Sarno’s tenure as Gucci’s creative director. De Sarno departed from the brand earlier in February 2025. The heels boast an impressive 5.7-inch height, much of which is supported by a chunky platform, and Gucci currently retails versions of this shoe for around $1,500.

The red Gucci Horsebit slingbacks have been a popular choice among several celebrities in recent months. Dua Lipa wore a black pair of the shoes in May 2024 at Gucci’s Cruise 2025 show—De Sarno’s third collection for the brand. At that same event, Daisy Edgar-Jones sported a red pair embossed with the Gucci logo, similar to Shahidi’s. Additionally, Lily Gladstone wore the red slingbacks to a Cannes Film Festival jury photocall in May 2024 alongside a shirt dress.

Throughout 2023 and 2024, platform styles and slingback silhouettes have been trending in fashion. While their prominence has slightly diminished, Gucci continues to feature variations of these styles, including pointed-toe designs like a patent leather slingback with a deep v-cut vamp, showcased at this latest show.

The presence of Shahidi and other celebrities at the Milan event highlighted Gucci’s ongoing influence in both fashion and celebrity culture, blending iconic design elements with current trends.
