From an unexpected workplace meeting to a breathtaking wedding in Bel Air, Christopher and Madeline’s love story unfolds with charm and elegance.

In a charming tale of modern romance, Christopher Slager and Madeline Whitesell’s relationship blossomed from a coincidence within the workplace to a beautiful wedding celebration in Bel Air, California. Their unique love story can be traced back to 2014 when Christopher was employed as an assistant in the motion picture department at WME. During that time, he was approached by human resources with a request to mentor an intern. He agreed, and that is when he met Madeline, who had advanced from the mailroom to shadow him.

After five years of keeping Madeline in his thoughts, Christopher took a decisive step and reached out to her via Instagram direct message. Their first outing together occurred at the Blue Bar at the San Vicente Bungalows, marking the beginning of a romantic journey that culminated in a proposal on March 3, 2023. This moment took place on the picturesque slopes of Deer Valley, Utah, where Christopher orchestrated an elaborate proposal. He coaxed Madeline to explore off-piste skiing into the glades, and after pretending to fall beside an Aspen tree, he seized the perfect moment to propose while on one knee in the snow. Notably, their initials and engagement date were carved into the tree’s bark as a permanent reminder of the occasion. Following her acceptance, the couple’s Bernese Mountain Dog, Roman, joined them to celebrate, after Christopher had requested ski patrol assistance for an unexpected snowmobile ride to reach the site.

The couple’s wedding festivities spanned an extravagant three days in October 2024. Madeline, now a WME agent, reflected on their decision to host the celebration in Los Angeles, stating, “We felt a desire to share in the magic of ‘our L.A.’ with friends and family from all over the world.” The lavish event was meticulously organized by wedding planner Stefanie Cove.

The celebration commenced with a welcome drinks event at the iconic Hotel Bel-Air, which served as the couple’s weekend venue. Madeline chose a striking ’90s Moschino suit from Happy Isles Salon, complemented by a green Gucci corset and matching Jimmy Choo heels, inspired by the sophisticated atmosphere of the hotel bar adorned with photographs by Norman Seeff. The welcome party evolved from a casual gathering featuring a sushi station into a lively evening bolstered by Madeline’s martini bar, concluding with a spirited piano sing-along that continued until the early hours of the next morning, as recounted by Christopher.
