A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage, in collaboration with fashion-tech startup Cloov, unveils a new digital platform for renting high-end vintage clothing and accessories, promoting both accessibility and sustainability.
A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage, a premier vintage apparel store and archive rooted in Ravenna, Italy, has announced the launch of a digital rental platform aimed at providing access to luxury garments and accessories. This new service, called A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage Rental, was developed in collaboration with Cloov, a fashion-tech start-up founded by under-30 female entrepreneurs Chiara Airoldi and Olimpia Santella. The duo has been recognized as one of Forbes Italy’s influential figures in the Social Impact category.
The A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage Rental platform will offer a curated selection of vintage pieces for rental, featuring items from esteemed brands such as Chanel, Hermès, and Versace, alongside popular cult international ready-to-wear brands. This initiative allows consumers to wear unique vintage garments for special occasions or creative projects while promoting sustainability in fashion.
According to the IMARC Group’s Online Clothing Rental Market report, the luxury clothing rental market is projected to be worth approximately $2.4 billion in 2024, with expectations to expand to $4.9 billion by 2033, reflecting an annual growth rate of 7.92%. This surge is driven primarily by younger consumers, who view fabric rental as an advantageous way to access exclusive fashion without the financial burden of ownership.
“Vintage is not just fashion; it is culture and memory. Each garment tells a story and represents a piece of fashion history that deserves to be appreciated,” stated Angelo Caroli, the founder of A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage. This sentiment underscores the platform’s commitment to not only making vintage fashion accessible but also to highlighting its cultural significance.
The enthusiastic partnership between A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage and Cloov aims to enhance the digital rental experience, making it simpler for customers to access an extensive collection of unique and authentic vintage items. “Collaborating with A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage means bringing the best of vintage into an even more accessible and digital dimension,” commented both Santella and Airoldi. This collaboration marks a strategic step towards integrating technology with the fashion industry to cater to evolving consumer preferences.
