Designer Abraham Ortuño Perez, aka Abra, showcases his latest collection inspired by childhood memories and the allure of Parisian fashion.

At Paris Fashion Week, designer Abraham Ortuño Perez, known professionally as Abra, unveiled his Fall Winter 2025-2026 collection in a presentation that serves as a personal homage to his formative experiences with fashion. The collection, presented under his eponymous label, reflects his childhood memories spent accompanying his mother to local boutiques, where the pursuit of ideal pieces fueled his passion for design.

Ortuño Perez’s creative vision was informed not just by nostalgia but by an aspiration to encapsulate the enchantment of discovering high-quality garments labeled “from Paris.” Rather than simply replicating the styles of his past, he aimed to recreate the emotional allure of sartorial elegance, resulting in a collection that strikes a balance between retro styles and modern sensibilities.

The show opened with a striking display of faux fur coats, where models appeared as if transformed into human-sized roses, marking an audacious take on this season’s fur trend. Other notable pieces included twofer coats that paired plush faux fur with gabardine and tailored suiting—an homage to the iconic silhouette of the late 1980s and early ’90s Working Girl era, characterized by exaggerated rounded shoulders and contemporary leggings that provided a current feel. Additionally, the lineup featured deconstructed denim jackets, reassembled trench coats, and cropped leather outerwear that accompanied sleek catsuits, demonstrating Abra’s characteristic play on contrasts in texture and form.

While the designer is increasingly recognized for his sought-after accessories, this season marked a significant evolution in his ready-to-wear offerings. The pinnacle of the collection showcased three draped lamé dresses—each shimmering, asymmetrical, and dramatically ruffled—tailored for those immersed in the fashion world. These pieces were highlighted as showstoppers capable of captivating fashion enthusiasts, whether they were found in high-end boutiques or local shops.

Abra’s Fall Winter 2025-2026 collection exemplifies how the past can influence and inspire future fashion trends, merging memories of yesteryears with cutting-edge design to create a narrative that resonates with personal and collective experiences in the fashion community.
