Stars A’ja Wilson and Jordan Chiles stood out at the 2025 Time Women of the Year Gala, showcasing their unique styles while advocating for women in sports.

A’ja Wilson and Jordan Chiles showcased their individual styles while highlighting a striking height difference at the 2025 Time Women of the Year Gala, held at The West Hollywood EDITION in Los Angeles on February 25. This prestigious event aimed to honor women globally who are advocating for justice and equality.

A’ja Wilson, the star center of the Las Vegas Aces, opted for an elegant, monochromatic look featuring a high-neck, short-sleeve gown by Jean Paul Gaultier. Complementing her gown, she wore simple white high-heeled sandals that were characterized by a round toe and a single strap across the toes along with an ankle strap. Although the heel was not visible in the photographs, her choice reflected the understated elegance commonly associated with stiletto sandals, which are a staple on the red carpet.

In contrast to Wilson’s sophisticated style, gold-medal-winning gymnast Jordan Chiles chose a vibrant red dress inspired by Selena. Her outfit was accentuated with a curly high ponytail, although details about her footwear were not disclosed.

The event not only celebrated influential women but also featured notable personalities such as actress Nicole Kidman, actress Olivia Munn, Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, and Women in Liberation & Leadership CEO Fatou Baldeh, all of whom were honored and delivered speeches during the gala.

Speaking about the importance of advocacy in women’s sports, Wilson stated, “One thing about me, I am not shy about speaking up for ourselves and for the next generation. We have to do all we can to celebrate, elevate, and demand equity for women’s sports, and the voices and stories of athletes all around the world.” Her commitment to promoting women’s sports comes as the WNBA gears up for the upcoming season, which begins on May 16 and runs until September 11, followed by playoffs.

While Wilson enjoys a reputation as a fashion icon off the court, she is equally recognized for her prowess in basketball. She has consistently made headlines with her performances and was named the WNBA MVP for the third time. Her strength and presence have notably contributed to an increased visibility and interest in women’s sports, especially following a season that saw record viewership and attendance.
