Alice Temperley celebrates a milestone with the launch of her new collection in honor of her label’s 25th anniversary, blending historical inspiration with personal narratives.
Alice Temperley has marked a significant milestone with the unveiling of her new collection, La Victoire, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of her eponymous label. The Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection was presented at her newly opened flagship store located near Sloane Square, London. This event showcases a blend of her brand’s rich heritage along with a vision for the future, encapsulating personal narratives alongside sartorial elegance.
La Victoire draws heavily from historical inspiration, particularly from Temperley’s lineage. The designer noted a unique connection to her son’s ancestor, Levin August von Bennigsen, a military figure known for opposing Napoleon in the early 19th century. This heritage is woven into the fabric of the collection with features like exquisitely tailored blazers embellished with hand-painted medals, regal jacquard knits in luxurious jewel tones, and delicately fringed filigree dresses, reminiscent of a modern armor’s strength and grace.
The collection is not just historically inspired but also deeply personal to Temperley. A custom-designed toile de Jouy print prominently features imagery of the horses, llamas, and donkeys from her Somerset farm, serving as an ode to her roots and her son, Fox. This addition highlights the brand’s commitment to storytelling and the artisanal craft that defines its unique British sensibility.
La Victoire encompasses a wide range of styles, from refined daywear to ethereal evening ensembles, reflecting an elevated approach to dressing that combines comfort with sophistication. As Temperley prepares to celebrate a significant anniversary next season, the collection stands as a tribute to her past while also looking forward, striking a balance between resilience, beauty, and timeless romance.
