Archroma aims to meet consumer demand for vibrant, long-lasting colors in garments with its upgraded High IQ® Lasting Color program at the PERFORMANCE DAYS conference in Munich.
Archroma, a prominent player in specialty chemicals emphasizing sustainable solutions, is set to unveil its enhanced High IQ® Lasting Color assurance program at the PERFORMANCE DAYS conference in Munich on March 5 and 6, 2025. This program aims to address the increasing demand from consumers for garments that maintain their vivid colors and overall appearance after repeated washes.
Dhirendra Gautam, the VP of Marketing at Archroma, outlined the company’s direction, stating, “With a forward-thinking approach to sustainable functional fabrics, Archroma helps brands offer the performance and benefits that today’s consumers expect – from optimal comfort and fit to effective moisture management, odor control, and colors that stay vibrant, wash after wash.” He emphasized that PERFORMANCE DAYS serves as a fitting platform to showcase innovations that enhance brand value and competitiveness in the textile market.
The upgraded High IQ® Lasting Color program features the latest advancements in color-retention technologies designed to ensure that garments remain vibrant over time. This initiative is bolstered by the use of Archroma’s AVITERA® SE and NOVACRON® dyes, which offer a dual advantage: remarkable color retention and a significant reduction in environmental impact. Mills and brands utilizing this program can cut their water and energy usage by as much as 50% during processing.
In addition to the color assurance program, Archroma is presenting a comprehensive range of end-to-end solutions designed to meet the diverse needs of sportswear, sports fashion, athleisure, and workwear consumers. These solutions are geared towards ensuring not only durability and performance but also safety, comfort, and sustainability. The SUPER SYSTEMS+ suite offered by Archroma encompasses specific processing solutions tailored to various fibers, durable color applications, and eco-friendlier chemistries that comply with stringent health and environmental regulations.
The PERFORMANCE DAYS event, which occurs biannually to facilitate seasonal sourcing, is expected to attract about 3,000 attendees, including designers, product managers, and purchasing professionals. Approximately 500 international suppliers will be present to showcase their offerings. The event will include both in-person and digital exhibitors, broadening access to a global audience.
