In celebration of Earth Month, St. Agni and Outland Denim introduce a collaborative collection of environmentally responsible jeans, showcasing their commitment to ethical fashion.
In recognition of Earth Month, Australian fashion brands St. Agni and Outland Denim are set to launch a collaborative capsule collection of eco-conscious jeans. The collection will officially debut on Thursday, showcasing a commitment to ethical fashion and sustainability.
Founded in 2014 by husband-and-wife team Matt and Lara Fells, St. Agni has gained traction in the fashion industry, attracting a celebrity clientele that includes figures like Kendall Jenner and Meghan Markle. Known for contemporary wardrobe staples, the brand’s foray into denim has now been elevated through this collaboration, emphasizing a refined approach to their offerings. “However, this collaboration felt like the perfect opportunity to refine our approach,” Lara Fells stated. She elaborated that the goal is to produce denim that aligns with their design philosophy while adhering to the highest ethical and environmental standards.
Outland Denim, a certified B-corp, brings a robust social sustainability focus to the partnership. Managed by CEO James Bartle, the company is recognized for its production facility in Cambodia, which provides employment opportunities for victims of human trafficking, thereby promoting fair-wage work. “The collaboration with St. Agni emerged from a natural alignment in values and vision between our brands,” Bartle remarked, emphasizing how St. Agni’s dedication to thoughtful design aligns seamlessly with Outland’s mission to create high-quality, sustainable garments that honor both the environment and the workforce involved in production.
The capsule collection features a total of six stock keeping units (SKUs), offering two distinct cuts: a classic slim-leg and a more contemporary balloon leg shape. The jeans come in three color variations, with the blue and white washes made from 100 percent traceable cotton, sourced through regenerative agricultural practices aimed at improving soil health. The black denim variant includes a blend of 40 percent Lyocell, utilizing Refibra technology—a process developed by Lenzing that transforms both pre- and post-consumer textile waste into new fabrics. Notably, the collection employs only natural dyes, significantly reducing water and energy consumption during production.
When discussing the recommended leg shape, Lara Fells expressed a preference for the balloon style, noting that “it has a relaxed fit and a sense of ease that felt perfect for the season.” She added that the low-rise design is inspired by St. Agni’s tailored ’90s pant, echoing a structured yet relaxed aesthetic.
The St. Agni by Outland Denim collection is priced at $389 and will be available through the e-commerce platforms of both brands, as well as at St. Agni boutiques and selected wholesale partners.
