India’s Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh, officially opened the second edition of Bharat Tex 2025 today, 16 October 2023, at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. The event serves as a significant platform for the textile industry, attracting a wide array of dignitaries and international buyers who are keen on exploring opportunities within this sector.
The inauguration ceremony featured traditional rituals, including the lighting of lamps, performed by Singh alongside the Minister of State for Textiles, Pabitra Margherita. This year’s event aims to build upon the success of the inaugural Bharat Tex held in February 2024, drawing attention to the industry’s vital commitment to sustainability, circularity, and digitisation.
In a statement on the social media platform X, Minister Singh remarked, “Today inaugurated the handicrafts, dyeing, chemicals and garment machinery expo under Bharat Tex 2025 at Greater Noida Expo Center. This is not just an expo, but a big step towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat! The confluence of the rich heritage of the Indian textile industry and modern technology will take us to new heights on the global stage with the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
