Copenhagen-based women’s fashion brand Blanche teams up with premium denim manufacturer Isko to create the environmentally responsible Kokoro collection set to launch in February 2025.

Blanche, a women’s fashion brand based in Copenhagen, is emphasizing its commitment to quality over quantity through a new partnership with Isko, a renowned global premium denim manufacturer. This collaboration aims to provide a refined selection of environmentally responsible jeanswear and apparel pieces. The two companies are set to debut their new collection, named Kokoro, in February 2025, aligning with the spring/summer fashion season.

Kokoro is designed to merge Blanche’s mission of creating contemporary, feminine clothing with a strong emphasis on responsible production. The collection will feature an array of items, including progressive denim pieces, bold knitwear, and crisp cotton garments, all crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Importantly, all denim items within the Kokoro line will utilize Isko’s premium recycled fabrics, ensuring high quality while significantly minimizing the environmental footprint associated with typical denim production.

Keith O’Brien, Senior Global Marketing at Isko, remarked on the collaboration, “Real change in fashion happens when innovation meets integrity and purpose. Our collaboration with Blanche shows that responsibility and great design are not opposing forces—they strengthen each other,” highlighting the synergy between stylish design and sustainable practices.

Blanche’s operations reflect its dedication to environmental and social responsibility at every production stage. This includes sourcing eco-friendly materials and implementing innovative, low-impact manufacturing techniques. Additionally, Blanche produces Fairtrade-certified styles that not only ensure high quality but also adhere to standards that advocate for chemical-free production and fair wages throughout the supply chain.

The Fairtrade certification attained by Blanche underscores its commitment to internationally recognized standards, verified through independent assessments. This certification also prohibits the use of genetically modified cotton seeds, which Blanche sources from India. In partnership with Fairtrade, the brand works with farmers in this region to phase out agrochemicals and adapt to climate variability, while maintaining a sustainable water footprint with rain-fed cotton fields.

Pricing for items within the Blanche collection ranges from €365 for blazers, €245 for knitwear, and €175 for trousers, while jeans crafted from Isko denim are priced at €190. Through this pricing strategy and their new Kokoro line, Blanche reinforces its commitment to responsible fashion while catering to a market that values both style and sustainability.
