Former Celtic B team midfielder Bruno Davidson announces retirement from football to launch his own clothing brand, honoring his family’s legacy.

Bruno Davidson, a 20-year-old midfielder who has spent the past few seasons with Celtic’s B team, has announced his decision to retire from football in order to pursue a career in fashion. Born in Singapore, Davidson has been recognized for his contributions to the team, which include playing in significant matches within the UEFA Youth League against renowned clubs like Real Madrid and Lazio. His notable performances include scoring a goal in a key match last season, which contributed to the team’s financial success in the Glasgow Cup earlier this year.

With his contract set to expire at the end of May, Davidson disclosed his career shift on Instagram, expressing enthusiasm about stepping away from professional sports to focus on establishing his clothing brand, Bruno Narducci. This venture pays homage to his Italian grandfather, Pasquale Narducci, who previously operated a clothing label. Davidson wrote, “I’m excited to finally share that I’ve made the decision to step away from football to fully pursue my passion for fashion and launch my own clothing brand.”

He elaborated that this decision was not made hastily, indicating it had been a well-considered transition over an extended period. Davidson thanked Celtic for the experiences and friendships he gained during his time at the club, emphasizing their impact on his personal growth.

Reflecting on his grandfather’s influence, Davidson explained that Pasquale Narducci’s legacy was built on craftsmanship and the importance of identity. “His work was never just about making clothes—it was about craftsmanship, relationships, and perseverance in a new world,” he stated. Davidson shared insight into his grandfather’s journey, recalling how Pasquale arrived in Toronto as a young immigrant and how that experience shaped his dedication to the art of fashion.

In his announcement, Davidson expressed a commitment to continuing this legacy of craftsmanship with his own brand, emphasizing that each piece will be infused with intention and love. “In a time where true craftsmanship and attention to detail feels rare, we remain rooted in the principles that built this name, every piece crafted with intention, with love, and with the same devotion my Nonno put into his work,” he remarked, highlighting his aspiration to create a bridge connecting generations through fashion.

Throughout his time with the Celtic B team, Davidson made a total of 67 appearances, solidifying his place within the club before embarking on this new chapter in his life. The Daily Record is reporting that Davidson’s ambitions reflect a blend of his sporting background and his family’s heritage, as he transitions from the pitch to the fashion runway.
