The bubbly fashion show at NorQuest College highlights diverse and culturally rich designs from women-led brands in Edmonton, featuring a lineup of talented designers.
Tomorrow marks an exciting highlight in the celebration of International Women’s Day with the much-anticipated bubbly fashion show at NorQuest College Atrium. The event, presented by a fashion and consulting agency founded by Nifem Ashani, will feature a remarkable showcase of culturally diverse and women-led fashion designers from Edmonton, each bringing their unique heritage and creative vision to the runway.
The fashion event promises a dynamic lineup of designers who are all trailblazers in the industry. Among the designers set to showcase their work is Cyrielle, the founder of Nso’ro. Her brand is noted for its emphasis on combining style with purpose, representing identity and strength while highlighting the importance of heritage and self-expression.
JoHannah Deena, another prominent designer featured in the show, is the founder of JÜY. Deena has gained recognition for her ability to merge classic sophistication with modern trends, ultimately crafting elegant yet bold looks. Initially starting her venture by reselling vintage pieces, her brand has evolved into a respected name in custom shoe design.
Pamela Denise Dela Cruz will present designs from her brand, Syncra. Dela Cruz’s work draws inspiration from her first collection, “Idiosyncratic SS/20,” which emphasizes the themes of distinctiveness and individuality.
Completing the lineup, Oluwatunmise Ajayi, also known as Tunmise, is the founder of Slaywithcrochet. Her brand, which was inspired by her sister, saw a rebirth of her love for crocheting during the COVID-19 lockdown. Ajayi offers a diverse array of wearables and accessories, including dresses, skirts, beachwear, sweaters, and hats.
Scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2025, the bubbly fashion show at NorQuest College Atrium is set to celebrate the creativity and diverse expressions of fashion among women designers.
