On Wednesday evening in Paris, a prestigious gathering unfolded at Le Relais d’Entrecôte, where fashion industry leaders and enthusiasts came together to celebrate the arrival of Alfie Paris on the luxury e-commerce platform Moda Operandi. The event featured a setting filled with French culinary delights, including an array of cheeses, crispy fries, and thoughtfully arranged doodles, creating a lively atmosphere for the attendees to unwind after a day filled with back-to-back fashion shows.
Co-hosted by Alfie Paris founder and creative director Alice Fresnel and Moda Operandi co-founder Lauren Santo Domingo, the celebration garnered significant attention, particularly as it marked the first fashion event hosted in the private dining room of Le Relais d’Entrecôte. The venue, located on Boulevard de Montparnasse, is known for its exclusive dining experience, and Fresnel’s personal connection to the restaurant ensured a seamless entrance for guests who typically face long waits to secure a table during Paris Fashion Week.
As industry members arrived, they donned ’90s-inspired tailoring and stylish separates from the emerging brand. Notable attendees included the newly-appointed contributing editor for Moda Operandi, Olympia of Greece, who was adorned in a sleek backless navy denim top, along with fashion figures such as Isabella Massenet, Ivy Getty, Fanny Bourdette Donon, and Amalie Gassmann. The vibrant atmosphere was further enhanced by the restaurant’s signature paintbox-colored tablecloths, which were adorned with floral arrangements by Chauvin Paris, alongside nostalgic disposable cameras that added a playful touch to the evening.
The menu featured the restaurant’s renowned offerings, including a green salad with walnuts and a secret mustard dressing, expertly prepared sirloin steak paired with its house sauce, and freshly made fries, all served by waitstaff dressed in classic French attire. For dessert, guests enjoyed selections such as Profiteroles, Vacherins d’été, and Crème Brûlée, culminating in a satisfying culinary experience.
During the evening, Santo Domingo addressed the guests, expressing excitement about welcoming Fresnel and Alfie Paris into the Moda family. “We are so thrilled to welcome Alice and Alfie to our Moda family,” she remarked. “We love to champion new designers—and, of course, to skip the line at Le Relais d’Entrecôte! We are so proud and honored to launch this brand on Moda.”
