Coach’s Fall 2025 collection, presented at the Park Avenue Armory, emphasises sustainable fashion through a thoughtful blend of repurposed materials and a focus on second-hand garments. Creative Director Stuart Vevers articulated the vision behind the collection, highlighting Coach’s commitment to “repurposing and ‘re-loving’ second-hand garments through craft.” The collection seamlessly marries heritage aesthetics with modern upcycling, aiming to empower individuals to express their unique styles without compromising sustainability.
The runway showcased a coherent silhouette featuring oversized trousers in materials such as denim and moleskin, complemented by lighter tops, including shrunken T-shirts and knits. The colour palette reflected classic Coach tones—rich tan and faded black, augmented by the textures of materials like mélange jersey and metallic knits. Particularly notable were the outerwear pieces, including cropped bomber jackets made from repurposed clothing and luxurious trench coats in shearling and leather.
The collection explored the concept of slow fashion, showcasing pieces that not only embrace current trends but also reflect a deeper narrative. Dresses inspired by vintage designs and crafted from repurposed negligees illustrated the brand’s commitment to sustainability while adding an element of charm and nostalgia. Each look was anchored by oversized pants made from second-hand denim, reinforcing the significance of durable heritage materials in reducing environmental impact.
In addition to clothing, Coach presented a new line of leathergoods, including the Twin Pocket Bag, which debuted on the runway and was inspired by an archival design. The materials used, such as vegetable-tanned leather treated with the new “Loved Leather” technology, underscore the brand’s dedication to environmentally friendly practices. The collection also featured sneakers designed for customization, allowing wearers to express their individuality through various finishes and playful adornments.
The show, which featured live music from Brooklyn-based band Nation of Language, created an immersive atmosphere that mirrored the collection’s ethos of community and self-expression.
