The fashion brand COS returns to the runway with a minimalist Spring/Summer 2025 collection, unveiled at the historic Dionyssomarble Cave in Athens, Greece.

The fashion brand COS made a notable return to the runway with the unveiling of its Spring/Summer 2025 collection in Athens, Greece. The choice of venue, the historic Dionyssomarble Cave, is renowned for its rich connection to the Parthenon and the Erechtheion, providing a strikingly evocative backdrop that highlighted the brand’s minimalistic vision in contrast with the cave’s raw, historic architecture.

The event, marked by a unique interplay between the ancient environment and the contemporary designs, featured models elegantly descending a steel staircase to present 35 looks that defined the collection. This movement not only served to showcase the garments but also created a dialogue between the structured natural elements of the marble cave and the flowing silhouettes of the collection.

COS’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection emphasizes craftsmanship and quality, with precise tailoring and signature details taking center stage. For women’s wear, the designs displayed creativity through soft draping and thoughtful tailoring. Eveningwear appeared relaxed and deconstructed, paying homage to Renaissance artistry with cascades of fabric that added fluidity. Sheer and lightweight materials offered glimpses of form, contributing to a sense of gracefulness. Key pieces were characterized by their draped, sculpted, and wrapped styles, presenting a fluid, feminine silhouette, while accessories included pointed suede mules, classic ballet flats, and minimalist sock boots.

In the menswear segment, the collection featured a focus on minimalism and functionality. Classic silhouettes received a modern reboot with sleeveless designs, breathing new life into traditional forms. Luxurious silk ensembles conveyed an understated elegance, complemented by Bermuda shorts that balanced sophistication with comfort. The inclusion of lightweight leather jackets styled over sophisticated ribbed pieces added a contemporary twist to summer attire. To complete the looks, smooth leather sandals and updated loafer mules were showcased.

A standout element of the collection was a distinctive marble print, inspired by Renaissance paintings, which was created by the unique technique of pressing flower petals against a lens to produce delicate, soft images. The color palette included off-whites, deep browns, and warm earth tones, with shades of pale blue and a bold navy, along with a touch of soft terracotta, enriching the women’s selection.

Quality and durability were paramount throughout the collection. Many designs incorporated adjustable features that ensured optimal draping, while a classic white shirt was made from innovative Materra, an eco-conscious hydroponic cotton that requires neither arable land nor conventional irrigation methods, showcasing the brand’s commitment to sustainability.

Following the show, selected pieces from the runway are now available for purchase at COS stores and on their website, cos.com, bringing the artistic vision of the Spring/Summer 2025 collection to consumers.
