The iconic frontwoman of Hole, Courtney Love, announces her fashion collection, showcasing a unique blend of vintage and contemporary styles.

Courtney Love, the iconic frontwoman of the band Hole and notable figure in the music industry, has announced her plans to launch a fashion line called Never The Bride, despite her mixed reputation in fashion circles. While Love has not often been recognized for her style by fashion critics or featured on best-dressed lists, she has embraced her unique fashion perspective with this new venture.

Love’s collection blends vintage influences with a contemporary edge, described by her as ‘repurposed Edwardian, Victorian with an edge.’ The announcement was made through a series of images she shared on Twitter, showcasing model Chloe Norgaard wearing pieces from the collection during a photo shoot for Contributor magazine. This visual representation offers a sneak peek into the styles that epitomize Love’s artistic sensibility.

The line is characterized by flapper-style dresses and embellished tops, incorporating accessories such as jewelry and grunge-inspired boots. Love commented on her design inspiration, stating that this is the type of clothing she would wear if she were “young enough to avoid looking like Bette Davis in ‘Whatever Happened After Baby Jane?’”

Adding to the collection’s distinctiveness, Love revealed that each dress contains a ruby embedded in the hem, inscribed with the word ‘cunt.’ This bold choice reflects Love’s long-standing reputation for controversy and her commitment to infusing her personality into her fashion creations.

Love’s endeavor into fashion has been a four-year project, and she expresses enthusiasm about making the collection available for purchase soon. However, it is noted that confirmation regarding stock availability from the online store has yet to be announced.

The Ozzie News is reporting that this new line may further establish Love’s dynamic presence in the fashion world, marking a new chapter for the artist who has greatly influenced the rock music scene and popular culture.
