The Dyer family makes a glamorous appearance at the 2025 BRIT Awards, while Charli XCX dominates the night with five wins.

Dani Dyer and her father, comedian Danny Dyer, made a striking appearance at the 2025 BRIT Awards, which took place at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday night. The event saw a multitude of stars walk the red carpet, showcasing a blend of fashion and music in a night dedicated to celebrating some of the biggest talents in the industry.

Dani Dyer, known for her role on “Love Island,” donned an eye-catching rose-gold strapless sequined gown that featured a sweetheart neckline and a daring thigh-high split. The 28-year-old completed her glamorous look with strappy gold heels and dainty gold jewelry. Accompanying the duo was Dani’s 17-year-old sister, Sunnie Jo, who wore an elegant one-shoulder black gown, adding to the family’s impressive presence on the red carpet.

In contrast to Dani’s shimmering ensemble, Danny Dyer, 47, opted for a smart grey co-ord with a white T-shirt underneath and black-and-white loafers. His casual yet stylish outfit exhibited a relaxed demeanor befitting the festive atmosphere of the awards.

The evening was hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, who led the ceremony for the fifth time. This year, the event featured performances from various artists, including the jazz quintet Ezra Collective, Jorja Smith, Jade Thirlwall, Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Fender, and several others. Charli XCX was originally slated to perform but withdrew from the lineup as she focused on preparations for the Grammy Awards earlier in the month.

In the spotlight of the awards, Charli XCX was a major contender, receiving five nominations. Ultimately, her album “BRAT” secured all five awards it was nominated for, including Best Album, Artist of The Year, Song of The Year, Best Dance Act, and Best Songwriting. This victory mirrors Raye’s historic achievement at the previous year’s ceremony when she won six awards.

Dua Lipa followed closely with four nominations, including Song of the Year, where she competed against Charli for her track “Training Season.” The international segment of the awards featured artists like Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish, who contended for the International Artist of The Year award.

Sabrina Carpenter won the Global Success Award, acknowledging her widespread acclaim in the UK, where her hit song “Espresso” gained significant traction. Her lighthearted comment about the UK being a “predominantly tea-drinking country” that had “streamed the s***” out of her track resonated with the audience.

In a notable twist, Jade Thirlwall claimed the award for Best Pop Act, edging out Charli XCX. In her acceptance speech, Jade expressed gratitude towards her former Little Mix bandmates and her boyfriend, highlighting the journey that brought her to this moment.

The BRIT Awards also introduced an innovative voting mechanism for genre awards, exclusively using WhatsApp for public voting. Sam Fender celebrated a repeat win as the Alternative Rock Act for a second time, with his heartfelt acceptance speech delighting the audience.

Stormzy won the award for Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act, acknowledging Central Cee’s talent and humorously explained that he was wearing shades due to an eye injury sustained in a paddle game. Ezra Collective was named Group of the Year, while The Last Dinner Party won the coveted title of Best New Artist, eliciting an enthusiastic reaction from their fans.

The night marked a melding of artistic styles and memorable moments, reflecting the vibrant tapestry of music and culture represented at the 2025 BRIT Awards.
