The Jacquard Hotel hosts a prestigious competition showcasing rising designers, offering them a chance to feature their work in DFW Spring 2025.

This month, The Jacquard Hotel in Cherry Creek will serve as the host for a prestigious event in the fashion world: the Denver Fashion Week (DFW) Emerging Designer Challenge. Named after the 19th-century French inventor Joseph Marie Jacquard, whose automatic loom transformed textile production, the hotel provides a fitting backdrop for this high-stakes competition that showcases rising designers with the chance to feature their work in DFW Spring 2025.

Set to occur on Saturday, March 22, the Emerging Designer Challenge will take place in the hotel’s three luxurious ballrooms, each named in honor of legendary fashion designers: Chanel, Dior, and Prada. This unique setting is designed to reflect the event’s commitment to creativity and craftsmanship, as well as its roots in fashion history.

A panel of esteemed judges including lead producers from Denver Fashion Week and local fashion designers will evaluate the participants, while audience members will have the opportunity to cast their votes. Two designers will emerge from this competition, earning the coveted chance to display their collections on one of Denver’s most significant fashion stages for the upcoming season.

The current lineup for this year’s challenge features a diverse array of emerging talents, including Timeless Trend by Ameliah Tene, Make You Sparkle, CAKEBRAIN, Nohealani, Growing Through It, and Medicine Mender. Each designer will present their unique collections, drawing inspiration from the rich history of fashion that permeates the venue.

The Jacquard Hotel is more than just a sophisticated location; it is a celebration of the interwoven relationship between fashion history and innovation. The Jacquard loom, introduced in 1804, marked a significant leap in the textile industry, allowing for the mass production of complex designs, which has had lasting implications for both fashion and technology.

The event represents a convergence of past and present, with the hotel’s homage to fashion luminaries such as Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, who redefined women’s fashion; Christian Dior, known for his impactful “New Look”; and Prada, which has continually challenged fashion norms since its inception in 1913.

With all these factors combined, the DFW Emerging Designer Challenge at The Jacquard Hotel promises to be a notable event, looking toward the future of fashion while honoring the rich legacy of those who paved the way for today’s emerging visionaries. Tickets and additional event information are currently available for those interested in attending this celebration of fashion innovation.
