The iconic footwear brand unveils a new collaboration featuring three shoe styles and a Mini Heart Bag, celebrating the resurgence of early 2000s fashion.

Dr. Martens is set to launch a new collaboration with the iconic Bratz doll franchise on April 10, tapping into the resurgence of the Y2K aesthetic. The English footwear brand announced the partnership through an animated teaser shared on social media on March 24, which features the Bratz dolls strutting down a digital runway against an energetic EDM soundtrack.

The teaser provides a nostalgic glimpse into the collection, beginning with a boxy, vintage television that lights up, transporting viewers to a fashion show showcasing the collaborative designs.

The collection will feature three distinct shoe styles. First is the 1B99 Bratz Boot, a striking purple 14-eye lace-up boot that showcases star-embossed detailing, a glittering Bex sole, and flat velvet laces. This eye-catching design, adorned with a lips lace charm and a Bratz swing tag, will retail for $220.

Next is the Buzz Bratz 5-Eye Shoe, making its debut with the 90s-inspired Buzz sole. This footwear option features a light purplish-pink upper crafted from Nappa milled leather and velvet, accented with diamanté eyelets and a row of silver studs. Priced at $150, it also includes velvet laces and the signature Bratz lace lips charm.

The third style in the collection is the Mattison Bratz Sandal, which has been reimagined with Dr. Martens’ latest silhouette. This $140 sandal boasts a glittery sole and features a pink faux fur strap, complemented by a star buckle and a star-printed footbed. The Bratz swing tag is also part of this design.

In addition to the footwear, the collection includes a Mini Heart Bag priced at $75. The Bratz brand is closely associated with early 2000s fashion trends, which have seen a revival recently. Notable brands such as Crocs and Juicy Couture are also leaning into the popularity of the Y2K aesthetic, with new collections reflecting the styles of the era.

This partnership follows other notable collaborations for Dr. Martens, including projects with Awake and the Netflix series “Wednesday.” Bratz has previously collaborated with brands like Puma in 2021 to create a footwear line, further establishing its presence in the fashion space.
