Dundee University’s Big Band hosted “The Gatsby 2025” event on Saturday night, bringing the glamour of the 1920s to life at Bonar Hall. The evening featured a performance by a talented ensemble of 30 musicians who delivered a vibrant mix of swing, jazz, soul, and dance music, immersing attendees in the spirit of the Roaring Twenties.

Guests were encouraged to dress in vintage-inspired attire, which added to the chic atmosphere of the event. From sharp suits to elegant flapper dresses, the attire reflected the opulence of the Jazz Age, setting the scene for an unforgettable night.

The event not only celebrated the music and style of the era but also served as a gathering for the community to enjoy live entertainment. Local photographer Alan Richardson was present at Bonar Hall, capturing the essence of the night through his lens, documenting moments of jazz, swing, funk, and soul that made the occasion memorable.

The evening’s combination of music, nostalgia, and creativity provided an engaging experience for all in attendance, showcasing Dundee University’s commitment to cultural events and community engagement.
