The sustainable fashion boutique Evolverie Clothing opens its second location in Downtown Columbus, emphasizing a commitment to ethical practices and community support.
A boutique known for its commitment to ethical and sustainable fashion has officially expanded to Downtown Columbus, marking a significant milestone in its growth. Evolverie Clothing, which originated in Worthington, opened the doors to its second location on March 14, situated at 107 N. High St., adjacent to local establishments such as Speck, Hank’s, and Chouette.
The expansion comes as part of the “Ground Floor Growth” initiative, spearheaded by Columbus City Councilmember Nicholas J. Bankston and Downtown Columbus, Inc. This initiative aims to enhance the Downtown area by promoting small, local, minority, and women-owned businesses. The new store encompasses 1,000 square feet and showcases a variety of women’s apparel, including blazers, button-downs, and dresses that resonate with their signature style.
Amy Homan, the owner of Evolverie Clothing, launched the brand in 2017 with a vision to provide fashion-forward and inclusive clothing options that are also budget-friendly. With a focus on sustainability, the creations are crafted from leftover fabrics that may have otherwise contributed to landfill waste. Homan highlighted her dedication to producing “comfortable, wearable pieces for women of all shapes, sizes, and life-stages” in a recent press release.
In a recent social media statement, Homan expressed her desire for a community filled with unique and personal shopping experiences, stating that she doesn’t want to see “the streets lined with faceless chains and worse, empty storefronts that no one can afford.” She believes strongly in the local economy and community connection, conveying her hope that “People want to buy from real people.”
This new location symbolizes not just an expansion of a clothing brand, but also a strategic push to foster a vibrant and diverse retail environment in the heart of Downtown Columbus.
