Jessica Schreiber, founder of FABSCRAP, resigns as CEO effective July 2025, with Camille Tagle taking over interim leadership as the organization seeks a new Executive Director.

Jessica Schreiber, the founder of FABSCRAP, has announced her resignation from the position of CEO, effective July 2025. Schreiber, who has led the organization for nearly nine years, intends to remain involved as a Board Member following her departure. In the interim, Camille Tagle, FABSCRAP’s Co-Founder and Creative Director, will assume leadership duties as the Board of Directors searches for a new Executive Director.

Under Schreiber’s guidance, FABSCRAP has evolved from a concept into a vital component of the sustainability efforts within the fashion, interior, and entertainment industries. The organization has provided reuse and recycling services to 881 companies and engaged over 11,300 volunteers in reducing textile waste, successfully diverting nearly two million pounds of fabric from landfills.

“I’m infinitely and incredibly proud of what Camille and I have built together,” Schreiber stated. She expressed gratitude for the support of her team and the organization’s mission. She acknowledged the bittersweet nature of her departure, especially amidst the positive trajectory of the organization.

Tagle expressed her appreciation for Schreiber’s contributions, stating, “When we first met, Jess and I immediately bonded over our dream of what FABSCRAP could be.” As she steps into the interim leadership role, Tagle emphasized her commitment to maintaining the organization’s spirit and mission.

David Hirschler, the Board President of FABSCRAP, also commented on the growth of the organization during Schreiber’s tenure, noting his excitement to work alongside her as a fellow Board Member in the future.

Schreiber disclosed her plans to step down to the FABSCRAP team and Board earlier in the year, coinciding with the impending birth of her second child. This decision is intended to allow her to focus on her growing family while ensuring a smooth transition for the organization.
