Fossil unveils its Spring 2025 watch collection featuring mid-century design cues, versatile styles, and meaningful craftsmanship. Embracing a blend of vintage optimism and contemporary edge, the line targets premium consumers seeking identity-driven timepieces and includes unique hybrids like watch rings and chokers.

Fossil has unveiled its Spring 2025 collection, marking a continuation of the brand’s quiet but confident rebranding that began in the wake of the pandemic’s impact on fashion habits. The latest season emphasizes a return to mid-century design cues, featuring elements like brushed dials, rectangular and octagonal cases, and innovative hybrids between jewelry and timekeeping. These design choices reflect Fossil’s move away from flashy accessories toward more meaningful, refined pieces.

Johnson Verghese, Managing Director of Fossil India Group, described the collection’s intent as creating watches that “resonate emotionally but still feel fresh.” Speaking to Man’s World India, Verghese elaborated on the brand’s philosophy: “The market doesn’t need more watches—it needs more meaning. We’re blending vintage optimism with contemporary edge to deliver exactly that.” The collection includes notable pieces such as the Raquel watch rings, the octagonal Harlow cases, and a renewed focus on stone dials, with a clear nod to personal, wearable statements.

For the men’s segment, the Machine Chronograph returns, notable for its industrial flair and brushed steel finish. This model has garnered attention recently, including being seen on actor Nick Jonas. The women’s collection explores softer aesthetics, with pieces like the Raquel watch showcasing a luminous mother-of-pearl face and the Gilmore model featuring a sunray dial designed to catch light gracefully. Popular Indian actors Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon continue their roles as brand ambassadors, representing the blend of confidence, heritage, and modern style that Fossil now prioritizes.

Positioned in the competitive ?10,000 to ?20,000 price range, Fossil targets consumers seeking premium products that serve as identity markers rather than mere accessories. Verghese described this segment as “the sweet spot for consumers seeking premium products at an accessible price point,” noting the challenges and opportunities presented by competition between both global and local brands.

Post-pandemic consumer trends indicate a growing preference for premiumization, particularly among digitally savvy younger buyers who are now looking for watches as tools for self-expression. “Functionality and identity are equally important. We’re seeing more people gravitate towards versatile pieces that feel personal,” Verghese stated.

Discussing India’s vast regional diversity, he noted that global fashion and pop culture influences are creating common ground across regions, with demand for both sleek minimalism and bold statement pieces seen nationwide. Regarding Fossil’s expansion into unconventional watch styles such as watch rings and chokers, Verghese explained, “The idea of a watch ring or choker isn’t gimmicky—it’s an evolution. These are milestones in themselves, often worn to mark something meaningful. And that emotional connect is key.”

Fossil’s ambassador strategy continues to play an integral role in shaping the brand’s image. Verghese said, “Each of them embodies different facets of Fossil’s ethos—Varun and Kriti reflect the blend of tradition and modernity that resonates in India, while Nick brings in that global pop culture edge. Our ambassadors help shape Fossil as more than a watch brand—it’s a lifestyle brand rooted in individuality.”

When asked about what defines a great watch, Johnson Verghese expressed, “To me, a great watch is not just about telling time; it’s about craftsmanship, design, and the story it tells. It should feel personal—something you grow with. That’s what we aim for.”

Fossil’s Spring 2025 collection thus reflects a strategic design and marketing direction focused on balancing vintage aesthetics with modern relevance, appealing to consumers’ desire for meaningful, versatile, and emotionally resonant timepieces. The brand continues to position itself as a lifestyle label that transcends conventional watchmaking through personalized, story-driven designs and culturally resonant partnerships.
