Following successful appearances at various national fashion events, Althafunissa is setting its sights on expanding into the Middle Eastern market, particularly targeting Saudi Arabia. This region, recognized as a prominent hub for modest fashion, presents a lucrative opportunity for the brand.

Speaking to Jpnn.com, Althafunissa CEO Karina Rozy expressed her ambitions for the brand, stating, “We want to show that Indonesian modest fashion has great potential to compete in the global market.” This perspective aligns with the broader trend in the Middle East, where consumers increasingly seek modern Muslim apparel that not only adheres to religious customs but also emphasizes style and comfort.

Karina Rozy elaborated on the brand’s strategy, highlighting an opportunity to introduce unique Indonesian designs that elegantly blend local cultural elements with contemporary aesthetics. “With a collection that showcases the beauty of Nusantara textiles and contemporary designs, we are optimistic that we can find a place in the hearts of Middle Eastern consumers,” she mentioned.

In preparation for this expansion, Althafunissa is launching a promotional campaign called Tour de Java. This series of events aims to unveil their Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2025 collection, showcasing their offerings in various cities across Indonesia as a precursor to their entry into Saudi Arabia.

The growing interest in modest fashion within the Middle East presents a dynamic landscape for brands like Althafunissa, as they work to establish their mark in an evolving industry that prioritizes both tradition and modernity. As the brand embarks on this journey, it joins a broader movement of Indonesian designers who are gaining recognition and contributing to the global fashion narrative.
