London: Former Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall dazzled at the British Vogue x GQ BAFTA Fashion & Film Party in a striking red Casablanca gown, while the EE BAFTA 2025 Awards celebrated cinematic achievements, with Adrien Brody and Mikey Madison claiming top acting honours.

Jade Thirlwall, the former Little Mix star, made a stylish entrance at the British Vogue x GQ BAFTA Fashion & Film Party held at Tramp on Sunday evening. The 32-year-old singer turned heads in a striking red Casablanca gown that featured a high slit up her left leg, which showcased her leggy display. The dress was characterised by a high neck design and a ruffled waistline gathered by a gold buckle.

To complement her bold look, Thirlwall accessorised with a luxurious Casablanca mini Jeanne bag valued at £1,150 and opted for towering black strappy heels that accentuated her figure. She completed her ensemble with gold hoop earrings and a chunky gold bracelet, adding an extra touch of glamour to her appearance.

While Jade was a notable presence at the after-party, she did not attend the main event earlier in the day. The EE BAFTA 2025 Awards made its much-anticipated return, celebrating the year’s best films and creative talent at the Royal Festival Hall. Actor David Tennant hosted the event, and among the highlights, Adrien Brody received the Best Actor award for his role in “The Brutalist,” while Mikey Madison was awarded Best Actress for her performance in the independent film “Anora.”

The ceremony saw the films “Conclave” and “The Brutalist” emerge as significant winners, with each taking home multiple awards. “Conclave” won the prestigious Best Film and triumphed in the Outstanding British Film category, adding to its accolades for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Editing. “The Brutalist” also shone, securing four awards including Best Actor for Brody and Best Director for Brady Corbet.

Adrien Brody, while accepting his award, acknowledged the support of the British public, stating, “It’s felt quite a bit like home lately.” Meanwhile, Brady Corbet expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am humbled and very grateful. There is no such thing as best director; it’s like a joke.”

“Anora” also garnered attention, adding the Best Casting award to its accolades, having recently triumphed at the Critics’ Choice Awards. In a more emotional segment, Zoe Saldana, who won Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Emilia Perez,” delivered a heartfelt and colourful acceptance speech, expressing the significance of the honour.

The evening also included notable tributes, including that of Warwick Davis, who received a BAFTA Fellowship. He personally paid tribute to his late wife, saying, “This is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me… and I’ve been in Star Wars!” He also dedicated the honour to his mother, crediting her for his presence at the event.

The awards were not without controversy, as “Emilia Pérez” director Jacques Audiard paid tribute to the film’s star, Karla Sofía Gascón, who was absent following allegations regarding past social media posts. The ongoing discussion surrounding public perceptions of Gascón highlighted the broader societal conversations taking place within the industry.

Overall, the BAFTA night was a showcase of talent and creativity in film, as esteemed guests celebrated the achievements of the past year amidst emotional speeches and noteworthy recognitions across the board.
