The Cool Japan Public-Private Partnership Platform launches a video to promote Mitsuboshi Keito and Japan’s wool textile heritage.

The Government of Japan’s Cool Japan Public-Private Partnership Platform (CJPF) is launching a special video to promote the country’s textile industry, specifically highlighting Mitsuboshi Keito Co., Ltd., based in Gifu Prefecture. The initiative aims to showcase Japan’s appeal to a global audience through this focused presentation of one of the country’s prominent wool textile manufacturers.

Mitsuboshi Keito has a long-standing presence in the region, where the Bishu area produces approximately 70 percent of Japan’s woolen textiles. This area, enriched by the natural resources of the Kiso River basin, has fostered a thriving textile industry thanks to its unique environmental conditions. The company prides itself on its high-density weaving techniques, cultivated over more than 130 years, and is known for producing high-quality fabrics for men’s suits that are favored by luxury brands, including the LVMH Group.

In addition to craftsmanship, Mitsuboshi Keito is also adapting to modern demands, emphasizing sustainability with initiatives like “ReBirth WOOL,” which involves recycling woolen products collected from consumers. The company combines traditional methods with contemporary technology to create innovative textile solutions.

A key aspect of the CJPF’s strategy is not just to promote products, but to facilitate a broader understanding of Japanese culture and industry on a global scale. This presentation comes at a time when the textile industry is increasingly viewed as vital to global sustainability efforts.

For further insights into Mitsuboshi Keito and its role in the evolving fashion landscape, the public is encouraged to view the special video highlighting the company’s contributions to the industry.
