Joey King made a statement at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards with her custom Miu Miu gown, showcasing the brand’s commitment to sustainability and style.

Joey King made a striking appearance at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards, held on February 23 at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. The actress, known for her role in “The Kissing Booth,” presented at the ceremony while showcasing a custom-designed gown by the Italian fashion label Miu Miu. The gown was a reworked version inspired by a look from Miu Miu’s spring 2010 collection.

Following a sleek aesthetic, King’s ensemble featured a black dress accentuated by a blue collar and embellished with crystals, alongside sheer panels on the bodice that added a touch of modernity. Completing her look, she adorned herself with diamond-encrusted jewelry from Bucherer and Tourneau.

Professionally styled by Jared Eng, King’s hair was crafted by stylist Ricky Fraser, who shaped her dirty blond locks into elegant waves. Makeup artist Allan Avendaño enhanced her features with brown eyeshadow, pink blush, and a coordinating lip color, contributing to an overall polished appearance.

Miu Miu, which launched its Upcycled range in 2020, is committed to sustainability in fashion. The brand creatively reimagines vintage, deadstock, and archival materials, repurposing them into new pieces. The 2024 holiday line, for instance, showcased recycled leather incorporating both floral and flame motifs from the spring 2011 collection, along with elements from the fall 2024 collection. A statement from Miu Miu highlights the mission of the Upcycled project: “Miu Miu Upcycled continues to breathe new life into cherished garments from the past, enhancing the experience of those who will wear them in the future.” This initiative aims to preserve the history of garments while enriching the lives of wearers through style and sustainability.

The 2025 SAG Awards, hosted by Kristen Bell, celebrated the best performances in film and television from the previous year. Notably, the nominations were led by the series “Sh?gun” and “Wicked,” each receiving five nominations. The ceremony also honored Jane Fonda with the Life Achievement Award, recognizing her contributions to the industry.
