Kerry Washington captures attention with her vibrant floral ensemble at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards, celebrating Black talent in arts and culture.

Kerry Washington made a striking appearance at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards held on February 22 in Los Angeles, showcasing a unique take on springtime florals. Washington donned a two-piece ensemble designed by Prada, featuring a vivid purple bandeau top paired with a flowing brown maxiskirt embellished with rosette appliqués.

The actress accessorized her look with embellished drop earrings and rings, enhancing her already vibrant aesthetic. Washington’s styling team, comprised of Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, who are known for working with notable celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, Jennifer Lopez, and Hailee Steinfeld, curated her stunning appearance. The actress’s hair was elegantly styled in a half-updo by Takisha Sturdivant-Drew, while makeup artist Carola Gonzalez contributed to the overall vibe with warm brown eyeshadow, soft mauve blush, and a glossy lip.

The 2025 NAACP Image Awards took place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and honored Black entertainers who profoundly impacted arts and culture in 2024. The ceremony was hosted by Dean Cole and included several notable highlights, such as the induction of the Wayans family into the NAACP Hall of Fame and recognition of former Vice President Kamala Harris, who was awarded the Chairman’s Award.

In a previous event in December, Washington was seen emulating Audrey Hepburn at a ceremony in which she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Accompanied by her parents, Earl and Valerie, and prominent figures such as Shonda Rhimes and Tyler Perry, she wore a sophisticated sleeveless black gown by Giambattista Valli. The gown was adorned with a sequined lace panel, a bedazzled neckline, and a bow tied at the waist, evoking Hepburn’s iconic look from the classic film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”

Rhimes, who collaborated with Washington on the television series “Scandal,” praised her, stating, “This is so well-deserved….She’s a bright soul who lights up any space that she’s in.” Washington expressed her heartfelt gratitude during her speech, thanking her parents for imparting values of dreaming and believing in oneself, saying, “They taught me to believe, and to pursue. So here we are. Mom, dad, can you believe it? An actual star? You made a wish, and it came true.”

The NAACP Image Awards continue to serve as a prominent platform to celebrate the achievements of Black artists and entertainers, highlighting their contributions and influence throughout the entertainment industry.
