A pop-up event in Los Angeles will feature five innovative brands, highlighting the city’s vibrant fashion scene from April 5 to April 13.
A pop-up event named “LA Super Star Bazaar” is set to take place from April 5 to April 13 at the concept store “I CAN’T GIVE YOU ANYTHING BUT KNIT by gim” in Los Angeles. This temporary marketplace aims to showcase five emerging brands that exemplify the city’s vibrant fashion scene.
The brands featured at the event include “Fior di Late,” “Jetpack hom(m)e,” “Lovett,” “Boy Kloves,” and “Leeann Huang,” all known for their unique approaches to design and creativity.
“Fior di Late,” founded by Carla Cassataro, a designer with a background in sculpture and product design, specializes in intricately embroidered handbags, which range in price from ¥31,000 to ¥45,500. The brand also offers silver keychains, priced between ¥7,500 and ¥9,000, and ceramic mugs, which are available for ¥4,500 to ¥9,000.
“Jetpack hom(m)e” is noted for its avant-garde denim offerings, including jackets with exposed seams, retailing for ¥67,000, and striped button-down shirts priced at ¥57,000. The brand also features unique necklaces inspired by cigarette butts, available in the ¥14,000 to ¥17,000 range, and can be found in major Japanese retailers like GR8.
“Lovett,” a women’s brand that fuses street culture with bohemian aesthetics, was initiated by a designer hailing from the prestigious Central Saint Martins. The brand’s collection includes pieces like a velvet mini skirt priced at ¥70,000 and an all-over print knit for ¥74,200, appealing to a style-conscious audience.
“Boy Kloves,” another label from a Central Saint Martins graduate, draws inspiration from the landscapes and culture of California. Their offerings include aloha shirts, various knits, and men’s swimwear in brief styles, with prices beginning at ¥14,850.
Finally, “Leeann Huang,” who previously served as an assistant to renowned designer John Galliano, features a line of dresses and tank tops made from lenticular materials that shift in design when viewed from different angles, appealing to those interested in innovative textiles.
The LA Super Star Bazaar promises to highlight the cutting-edge creativity and distinct aesthetics of these young brands, reflecting the diverse fashion landscape of Los Angeles.
