The Gen Next show at Lakmé Fashion Week X FDCI highlights innovative young designers and their contributions to Indian fashion.

Mumbai, India: The Lakmé Fashion Week X FDCI recently set the stage ablaze with a fresh wave of creativity during its much-anticipated Gen Next show, spotlighting three remarkable young designers. Known for showcasing the future trailblazers of Indian fashion, the Gen Next show once again delivered a spectacular display of innovation and artistry.

Having served as a beacon for emerging talent for over two decades, the Gen Next show has established itself as a prestigious platform that allows young designers to present their unique stories on a global stage. This initiative has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of some of India’s most celebrated designers, providing invaluable opportunities for guidance, exposure, and the exploration of creative boundaries.

The 2025 Gen Next show stood as a testament to this vision, highlighting designers who dared to reimagine traditions, emotions, and heritage within contemporary narratives.

This year’s selection process was guided by a distinguished jury comprising industry veterans who brought diverse perspectives to the table. The panel included Sunanda Khetan, Vice President of Lakmé; Sabina Chopra, Gen Next mentor; Rochelle Pinto, Editorial Content Head of Vogue India; Tina Tahiliani Parikh, Executive Director of Ensemble; Kunal Rawal, renowned Indian fashion designer; and Jaspreet Chandok, Group Vice President of Reliance Brands Limited. Their expertise and discerning eye played a crucial role in selecting promising designers who captivated the audience.
