In an interview with Fact Magazine Qatar, Lamia Rault shares her insights on the intersection of tradition and technology in luxury watchmaking and unveils TAG Heuer’s latest timepieces.

Lamia Rault, Managing Director for the Middle East, India, Africa, and Tükiye at TAG Heuer, recently shared insights into her extensive background in the luxury industry and the brand’s latest watch releases during an interview with Fact Magazine Qatar. Rault highlighted the unique ability of the luxury sector to blend tradition with innovation, emphasizing the meticulous attention to detail in craftsmanship and design that sets brands like TAG Heuer apart.

Rault articulated her vision for the future of watchmaking, stating, “The future of watchmaking is all about harmonising tradition with technology.” She predicts an increasing incorporation of smart features into luxury timepieces while maintaining the mechanical craftsmanship that has defined the industry. Rault further elaborated on the anticipated demand for personalized and unique pieces, which would affirm watchmaking as a symbol of precision, innovation, and exclusivity.

Describing the typical TAG Heuer customer, Rault noted that they are individuals who thrive on precision and performance, closely associated with adventurous and dynamic lifestyles. She characterized TAG Heuer’s style in four words: avant-garde, dynamic, bold, and timeless. When asked about her favorite watch from the collection, Rault cited the TAG Heuer Carrera Gold Success Glassbox, referring to it as a symbol of ambition and achievement that carries forward the legacy of the brand’s founder, Jack Heuer.

In addition to Rault’s views on the luxury landscape, TAG Heuer recently unveiled five new timepieces that celebrate its deep-rooted connection to motorsports, particularly Formula 1. These models reflect both aerodynamic design and innovative craftsmanship. Each watch features ergonomic designs optimized for comfort, lightweight titanium cases, and dynamic rubber straps, catering to the needs of racing enthusiasts and urban dwellers alike. The collection emphasizes bold colors and contrasts, inspired by the excitement of night racing.

Among the new releases, the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph debuted a striking design, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Carrera with a re-introduction of the iconic glassbox design. This model comes in two variants—one in signature TAG Heuer blue and the other in a delicate powdery pink—both featuring a sophisticated dial design adorned with diamonds and a reliable in-house chronograph movement.

Moreover, TAG Heuer continues its esteemed partnership with Porsche, commemorating their shared motorsport heritage through the launch of a limited-edition timepiece—the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye. This watch draws inspiration from the Porsche 911’s rally success at the Monte Carlo Rally in 1965 and combines the precision of TAG Heuer chronographs with Porsche’s racing legacy. The creation is limited to 911 pieces in steel and just 11 in 18-carat gold, further emphasizing the exclusivity that TAG Heuer aims to offer.

As TAG Heuer moves forward, the brand’s dedication to fusing traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation remains a key focus, ensuring its timepieces continue to appeal to a wide range of customers who appreciate both heritage and contemporary designs.
