Laverne Cox captivated attendees with her vintage fashion sense as she hosted the 2025 Billboard Women in Music Awards, celebrating the contributions of iconic women in the music industry.

Laverne Cox took center stage as the host of the 2025 Billboard Women in Music Awards, which transpired on March 29, 2025, at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California. Known for her distinctive fashion sense, Cox showcased her affinity for vintage styles throughout the evening, with a particular emphasis on iconic designers like Thierry Mugler and Alexander McQueen.

As she made her entrance on the red carpet, Cox dazzled onlookers in a vintage red dress by Christian Dior, originally designed by John Galliano. Complementing her ensemble was a matching scarf, which added a classic touch to her sophisticated look.

For footwear, the actress, recognized for her role in “Clean Slate,” opted for a pair of striking silver pointed-toe pumps. Crafted with an animal skin upper that showcased overlapping scales, the shoes exemplified a typical court pump design. The stiletto heels, likely measuring between three and four inches, blended elegance and style, further enhancing her vintage-inspired outfit.

Stiletto pumps remain a popular choice in women’s fashion, with many shoe manufacturers creating their versions in various monochromatic shades and materials, from smooth leather to patent leather and suede. Some of the most celebrated styles in the category include the Christian Louboutin So Kate, the Manolo Blahnik BB pump, and the Jimmy Choo Love heel.

Cox has been spotted in similar pointed-toe styles previously, including metallic silver pumps at the premiere of “The Apprentice” in New York City back in October.

The 2025 Billboard Women in Music Awards highlighted esteemed achievements of women in the music industry. Notable honorees included Jennie, who received the “Global Force Award,” Doechii, named “Woman of the Year,” and Gracie Abrams, honored as “Songwriter of the Year.” The event served not only as a celebration of music but also as recognition of the influential role women play in the industry.
