Designer Leonardo Valentini will showcase his new collection CRUDELIO FABIOLA, inspired by personal reflection and music, at the Lineapelle Designers Edition in February 2025.

LEONARDOVALENTINI, a creative project founded by the designer Leonardo Valentini from Rome, is making a return to the Milan catwalks, a year after its debut at the prestigious fashion event. The designer will showcase a new collection entitled CRUDELIO FABIOLA on February 27, 2025, at the Lineapelle Designers Edition. This return underscores the ongoing partnership and support from the international fashion community.

The CRUDELIO FABIOLA collection is deeply rooted in personal reflection, specifically the designer’s experience of mourning the loss of an individual named Fabiola. The collection aims to transform the sadness associated with this loss into art, articulated through garments showcased on the runway and reflected in a poem dedicated to her memory. The collection encapsulates a dualistic theme—juxtaposing the fairytale aspects of excess with the harsher realities of life. Key materials in the collection include fine leathers, intricate embroideries, studs, and furs. In a novel touch, a unique print pattern featuring stains will also be introduced, symbolizing the “dirtyness of the soul” that aligns with the collection’s name.

The designer has maintained a profound connection with the world of music, drawing continuous inspiration from it. Valentini has gained recognition for his work dressing globally celebrated artists including Irama, Måneskin, Rose Villain, Chiello, and Lenny Kravitz. This fusion of fashion and music will be evident in the upcoming show, which promises to deliver an engaging performance by the rising artist Sethu, accompanied by his brother Jiz on guitar. Sethu, who garnered attention during Sanremo 2023, brings a vibrant, tonal fluidity to the event, reflecting the restlessness and euphoria that characterize his musical style.

Valentini’s collaboration with Irama has played a crucial role in the development of this collection. The designer has crafted numerous outfits for Irama’s performances, and their synergy has inspired a parallel creative journey. In addition to the fashion show, they have recently collaborated on the Irama Official Merch™, launching exclusive merchandise in conjunction with Irama’s tour dates across Italy. For the February 2025 fashion show, selected pieces from this merch line will be integrated into the primary LEONARDOVALENTINI collection, creating a unique intersection of fashion, music, and art.

On the creative process behind the collection, Valentini stated, “KINDNESS IS PUNK is the key to understanding the collection, because just like artists’ albums each collection I present is a consequence, a necessity and could not exist without the previous one because it feeds on an identity presented evolving from year to year.” He expressed a desire to move beyond the conventional branding mentality, stating that his collections are driven by personal need rather than commercial demands.

The project has seen contributions from an array of talented professionals, including designer Bianca Beltramello, who created the prints, stylist Francesco Mautone, and photographer Lorenzo Galli. Additionally, a notable aspect of this collection is the collaboration with Christian Bianconi (Pedsan) aimed at merging fashion with comfort; this resulted in innovative 3D-made insoles that models will wear on the catwalk.

A noteworthy feature of the upcoming show is the integration of technology, with a QR link being made available on social media and the designer’s website during the event. For attendees on the day of the show, a limited selection of products anticipating the collection will be offered for purchase at a special price, further blending the realms of fashion, art, and technology.
