London: Levi’s has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, marked by wide cuts and relaxed fits for both genders. The nostalgic line promotes self-expression and includes expanded styles like the XL family for women and new relaxed fits for men, reflecting a modern take on classic looks.
Levi’s has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, showcasing a notable shift in style characterised by very wide cuts and relaxed fits for both men and women, reinforcing what the brand describes as the “Baggy Age.” This collection, rooted in nostalgia for the 1990s, presents an extensive range of jeans, trousers, and skirts that aim to promote inclusion and self-expression.
The brand emphasises a commitment to creating a spectrum of relaxed looks that celebrate individuality and collective harmony. A spokesperson from Levi’s stated, “We are looking for ways to be together… it is more than just a simple style vision; it is an entire state of being. A movement. A common ground for connection.” This philosophy appears to underpin the collection’s design ethos, which prioritises comfort and style.
Among the new offerings for women, the most significant development is the expansion of the XL family, which was initially introduced last season with the XL Straight, known for its wide top block and adjustable height. The Spring/Summer 2025 range will feature additional styles including the XL Superwide, XL Culotte, XL Overall, and XL Skirt. The XL Superwide is particularly notable for its dramatic design, boasting a soft top block with a waist belt and an expansive leg that complements pointed toe footwear. The XL Culotte, designed to reach or exceed mid-calf, bridges the gap between shorts and long pants, allowing for versatile styling options.
Additionally, the XL Skirt, featuring a nearly floor-length hem, and the XL Jumpsuit, which incorporates modern femininity with a relaxed aesthetic, also join the collection. Complementing these items are new tops such as the Harlie Boyfriend Shirt, crafted from soft poplin in various striped patterns, and the vintage-inspired Dry Goods waffle knit shirt, along with the Mandy Blouse, which is boho-inspired and features decorative cotton lace.
For men, the Spring/Summer 2025 collection continues to expand on the trend for wider fits. Following the previous season’s introduction of the Levi’s 568 Loose Straight, the line now includes the 578 Baggy, which features a looser fit with a slight taper, ideal for pairing with sneakers or boots. Another new style, the 567 Relaxed Flare, offers a relaxed flared leg, refreshing the relaxed fits popularized in the late ’90s.
The men’s tops also see the addition of contemporary pieces within the Authentic vintage-inspired family, including the Authentic Button Down and the Authentic Crew hoodie. The Authentic Button Down comes in solid colours or stripes, while the soft fleece Authentic Crew hoodie provides a casual yet stylish option. An updated Vintage T-shirt is also part of the offering, featuring a relaxed cut that reflects the brand’s long-standing aesthetic.
