Ashley Cano finds a wedding dress believed to be worn by Sarah Jessica Parker, sparking excitement and interest on social media.

In an impressive turn of events, a fashion enthusiast named Ashley Cano has made headlines after discovering what she believes is the iconic Vera Wang wedding dress worn by Sarah Jessica Parker in the “Sex and the City” movie. The find occurred at a local charity shop, where she purchased the dress for a mere £15, a staggering contrast to its typical retail price of around $7,000, or approximately £5,562, according to resale bridal sites.

Ashley, known on TikTok as ‘aileenscloset90’, documented her discovery in a video that has since caught the attention of many users. In her TikTok post, she expressed her disbelief at the find, stating, “I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this dress. But I fear I may have bitten off more than I can chew. It’s so big, so heavy. And I have no clue how to best sell it.”

The dress, officially known as the Eleanor bridal gown by Vera Wang, features a strapless design with an A-line full skirt, elegantly adorned with feathered flower embroidery. This particular gown was famously worn by Carrie Bradshaw during a bridal photoshoot for Vogue in the beloved television series.

In her enthusiastic video, Ashley highlights the dress and its label, exclaiming, “Vera freaking Wang. I’m shook. I have never sold a wedding dress, so if anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them in the comments.” The video has sparked a flurry of comments, with viewers sharing their excitement and interest in the dress.

One commenter expressed a desire to purchase the dress, stating, “How much are you selling it for? I might be interested profoundly single but I am deeply engaged to serving.” In response, Ashley indicated her intentions to sell it at a reasonable price, saying, “Definitely want to spread the love and bless a bride. I’d say somewhere between 15-20% of retail.”

Users have continued to engage with the post, with some noting their personal connection to the dress. One user shared, “The way this is my size and I am getting married in two months and this is my dream dress,” while others simply noted the significance of her find, with one comment stating, “I immediately thought of Carrie Bradshaw before you said a word. Amazing score!”

Ashley, who frequently shops at thrift stores and sells items on the platform Poshmark, now faces the challenge of selling the stunning gown while navigating the world of wedding dress sales. As her story continues to gain traction online, many are eager to see how this unexpected find unfolds in the resale market.
