Lotte ON introduces the ‘2025 Online Brand Small Business Incubation Project’ to empower small enterprises in the fashion and beauty sectors through a comprehensive support program.
Lotte Shopping’s e-commerce platform, Lotte ON, has unveiled a significant initiative aimed at empowering small fashion and beauty businesses to thrive in the online marketplace. This program, known as the ‘2025 Online Brand Small Business Incubation Project (TOPS),’ was announced on October 13 and is being undertaken in partnership with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Small Business Distribution Center.
The primary goal of the TOPS initiative is to facilitate the growth and market access for 300 small businesses within the fashion and beauty sectors. Following a strategic focus since July on enhancing their offerings in these areas, Lotte ON has established specialized departments dedicated to fashion and beauty, positioning itself to provide tailored support to small enterprises.
The project is structured into three phases designed to foster comprehensive development for the participating businesses. The timeline for the initiative includes:
-
Stage 1 (March to June): During this phase, participants will receive foundational consulting aimed at navigating the online market. Furthermore, businesses can access support to participate in planned exhibitions, setting the groundwork for their online presence.
-
Stage 2 (July to October): As businesses move into this phase, Lotte ON will facilitate online exhibitions and promotional activities. Additionally, participating businesses will benefit from financial support for promotional expenses, which are intended to help boost their sales during this crucial period.
-
Stage 3 (November to December): The final phase focuses on market expansion, with Lotte ON assisting businesses in operating pop-up stores, offering a tangible way for these brands to engage with consumers and enhance their visibility in the marketplace.
Only small businesses that meet the criteria established by the Basic Law on Small Enterprises are eligible for inclusion in this project, specifically those specializing in fashion and beauty products. The application window for interested parties is open until October 20. Potential participants must first register for corporate membership on the Panpan platform before submitting their applications. Selection for the initial phase of support will occur after a document review and deliberation by a selection committee, with 300 businesses chosen to receive assistance.
Hwang Hyeong-seo, who leads the beauty department at Lotte ON, expressed the company’s commitment to this initiative, stating, “We will actively support the success of small businesses in the online market by leveraging Lotte ON’s expertise in the fashion and beauty sectors.” He emphasized that the project aims to provide a variety of opportunities for market expansion, thereby contributing to the sustainable growth of these small businesses.
This comprehensive support initiative from Lotte ON marks a significant step in promoting the digital transformation of small enterprises in the competitive fashion and beauty markets, fostering an ecosystem conducive to innovation and growth.
