Lupita Nyong’o turns heads in a stunning black gown at a glamorous pre-Oscars event, attended by an impressive list of celebrities.
Lupita Nyong’o made a striking appearance at the Chanel and Charles Finch pre-Oscars dinner held on Saturday at the iconic Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel. The glamorous event attracted a high-profile guest list, including celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Demi Moore, and Elle Fanning, showcasing a vibrant atmosphere filled with star power as the Oscars approached.
Nyong’o, who won an Academy Award in 2013 for her supporting role in the film “12 Years A Slave,” donned a fashionable sheer black gown that flowed elegantly to the floor, beautifully accentuating her figure. The gown featured historical design elements such as buttons that led up to a fitted collar and puffed sleeves that ended in long, cinched cuffs. The lower portion of the dress was embellished with sparkling fringe, evoking the glitzy vibe associated with Hollywood events.
To complement her attire, Nyong’o styled her hair in an updo and opted for makeup that highlighted her radiant complexion, including deep pink lipstick. Throughout the evening, she was seen socializing with fellow attendee Nana Mensah, an actress and filmmaker known for her roles in projects including “13 Reasons Why.”
A broad array of stars graced the pre-Oscars gathering, with attendees such as Lily-Rose Depp, daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, alongside Riley Keough, the granddaughter of Elvis Presley. Dakota Fanning was photographed posing with her sister, and other notable guests included Oscar nominees Sebastian Stan and Adrien Brody, as well as Netflix star Rege-Jean Page and beloved character actor Jeff Goldblum.
While Nyong’o has not received a nomination for this year’s Oscars, she remains a prominent figure in the industry. Her recent work includes a role in the horror film “A Quiet Place: Day One,” as well as a leading voice role in DreamWorks’ CGI animated feature “The Wild Robot.”
The category for Best Supporting Actress, which Nyong’o previously won, is expected to be competitive this year, with nominees such as Ariana Grande for her performance as Glinda in “Wicked,” Monica Barbaro for portraying Joan Baez in the Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown,” Felicity Jones for her role in “The Brutalist,” Zoe Saldana for her work in “Emilia Perez,” and Isabella Rossellini, recognized for her performance as a nun in “Conclave.”
The pre-Oscars dinner at the Polo Lounge not only celebrated the achievements of individual artists but also served as a platform for artists to connect ahead of the prestigious awards ceremony.
