Mango is set to modernize its planning processes with a new partnership aimed at improving data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.

Mango, a prominent fashion retailer with a robust international presence, has officially partnered with o9 Solutions to enhance its planning capabilities. The collaboration aims to modernize Mango’s end-to-end planning processes, bolstering its ability to make data-driven decisions across its operations.

Mango operates nearly 2,850 stores across 120 markets, navigating a retail landscape characterized by fluctuating demand, shifting consumer preferences, and complex supply chain dynamics. In a bid to streamline its operations and foster growth, the retailer is embarking on a digital transformation of several key planning areas, including merchandise financial planning (MFP), assortment planning, and demand planning.

This initiative seeks to replace Mango’s existing fragmented and outdated systems with an integrated framework powered by artificial intelligence and driven by data. The shift is expected to facilitate greater operational efficiency and enable more informed decision-making throughout the organization.

A significant factor in the collaboration with o9 was the latter’s capability to tailor its solutions to meet Mango’s specific needs in an effective manner. The o9 Digital Brain platform consolidates critical planning processes onto a single, cohesive platform. This integration is aimed at eliminating functional silos within the various teams at Mango, promoting synchronized decision-making across departments.

The architecture of o9’s platform is designed to be future-proof, allowing Mango to not only expand its planning capabilities but also to create its own data science models and scale solutions to accommodate long-term growth ambitions.
