On the evening of January 31, 2024, renowned German fashion label Marc Cain hosted an enchanting runway show at Kraftwerk Berlin, captivating attendees with a presentation themed around a dazzling parallel universe. The location itself transformed into an alluring and mysterious realm, setting the stage for a parade of high fashion. The guest list featured notable personalities, including television presenter and entertainer Michelle Hunziker, model and content creator Kelly Piquet, and international supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, all of whom added to the glamour that enveloped the event.

The fashion show attracted a host of other prominent figures as well, encompassing a diverse array of familiar faces such as Frauke Ludowig, Nicola Cavanis, Mareile Höppner, Marvy Rieder, Céline Bethmann, Barbara Kurdej-Szatan, Peri Baumeister, Anna-Maria Sieklucka, and Denise Schindler. Attendees were treated to a visual spectacle, enhanced by state-of-the-art LED technology, which created an impressive and immersive runway setting.

The show unveiled Marc Cain’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, distinguished by its innovative exploration of contrasts and dreams. The collection harmoniously blended elements from both the real and virtual realms, encouraging guests to explore new perspectives. Classic silhouettes were enhanced with forward-thinking details, combining bold shapes, striking accessories, eye-catching trends, and sophisticated elegance supplemented by exquisite craftsmanship. The label maintained its commitment to using high-quality materials designed for long-lasting appeal.

Marinela Oglan, the Creative Director of Marc Cain, articulated the essence of the new collection, stating, “Our Fall/Winter 2025 collection is designed for those who move boldly through a globally connected world yet remain deeply rooted in their individuality. The looks fuse creativity with heritage, celebrating the power of self-expression and the limitless potential of contemporary fashion.”

The colour palette of the collection featured vibrant hues intended to brighten the darker autumn and winter months. Various shades of red, including berry and cherry, dominated the runway, evolving into brighter tones like scarlet and candy. The show culminated in a striking, floor-length sequinned gown in ruby red, worn by Ambrosio, which was accentuated by a prominent black bow at the collar. This outfit exemplified a blend of powerful tailoring and sophisticated glamour, serving as a highlight of the evening. The collection also showcased an array of greens, including dark green and turquoise, alongside a wider spectrum of colours, such as coral variations and timeless neutrals.

Mini skirts emerged as a significant trend, often styled with matching footwear and tights that encapsulated this season’s aesthetic. Flowing coats in soft pastel shades complemented the dramatic nature of the collection, while elements like strong shoulders and accentuated waists contributed to bold, feminine silhouettes. Nightwear stole the spotlight with edgy glamour, incorporating dark floral prints and sophisticated dresses featuring shimmering fabrics and sheer accents. The collection’s meticulous attention to detail manifested in playful touches like bows, fringes, ruffles, and cutouts.

The runway itself was a technological marvel, with high-resolution LED installations projecting a range of galactic visuals. A massive main LED wall, measuring five metres high and spanning 16 metres wide, enveloped the models as they navigated the 51-metre-long catwalk, complete with an elaborate LED ceiling that stretched 32 metres in length. This simulation of reality and fantasy set a precedent for the integration of fashion and technology.

Commenting on the evening, star guest Michelle Hunziker exclaimed, “Marc Cain didn’t just present fashion tonight – they created an entire world. This fusion of creativity, technology, and design was simply breathtaking.”

The show seamlessly transitioned from chic workwear and everyday attire to the most elegant evening gowns, illustrating a versatile collection that reconciled practicality with high fashion, culminating in an unforgettable display that resonated with the audience.
