The Spice Girls’ iconic member showcased her bold style with a striking mini dress and thigh-high boots at the Season 20 premiere of the talent show.
In a dazzling display of fashion and nostalgia, Mel B, the iconic member of the Spice Girls, showcased her style at the Season 20 premiere of “America’s Got Talent” on March 26, 2025. The event was held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California, drawing attention from fans and media alike.
Stepping onto the red carpet, Mel B wore a fitted cream lace long-sleeve mini dress paired with striking thigh-high boots by the Italian brand Le Silla. The boots, known as the “Eva” model, boast a sharp pointed toe and a towering 110mm (approximately 4.33 inches) stiletto heel. Constructed from glossy vinyl and lined with goat skin, the boots are designed to make a bold fashion statement. Her makeup, characterized by a smoky, sparkly look, was created by Hendra Nasril, while her hair was styled in a high braided bun adorned with bedazzled baby hairs.
The fashion industry has witnessed a resurgence of pointed-toe shoes in recent years, reviving styles popular in the 1980s and 1990s. Pointed-toe designs range across various silhouettes, including ankle boots, pumps, and open-toed stiletto sandals. Among the notable brands that offer pointed-toe footwear are Christian Louboutin, Prada, and Jimmy Choo, which have all contributed to their popularity on red carpets.
Mel B’s affinity for bold animal prints, particularly leopard, matches her vibrant personality and can be traced back to her days as a Spice Girl in the mid-’90s. Recently promoting her memoir “Brutally Honest,” she has made appearances in an array of striking leopard print ensembles. Just days before the AGT premiere, she was seen wearing a leopard print coat paired with denim lace-up Philipp Plein Kobra open-toe boots and red animal print tights during her appearance on “The View.” Earlier that same day, she showcased her fashion prowess in a head-to-toe leopard print halter jumpsuit complemented by a pair of patent leather pumps on the “Tamron Hall Show.”
Mel B will be returning to her role as a judge on “America’s Got Talent,” having previously participated in the show from 2013 to 2018, along with two of its spin-off editions in 2019 and 2024. She is stepping into the judging seat previously held by Heidi Klum, who is set to return to the upcoming season of “Project Runway.” Joining Mel B on the judging panel are Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara, with Terry Crews returning as the host. The new season of the long-running NBC talent show is slated to premiere on May 27.
