Antonia boutique showcases Khaite’s spring 2025 collection and Guy Berryman’s Applied Art Forms during Milan Fashion Week, blending innovative designs with cultural influences.
The Milan Fashion Week calendar recently featured significant events at the luxury retailer Antonia, spotlighting the spring 2025 collection from the New York-based fashion brand Khaite and the offerings from Applied Art Forms, a brand conceptualized by Guy Berryman, who is also known as the bass player of the band Coldplay.
On the occasion of Khaite’s unveiling, the boutique hosted an in-store cocktail event where guests could view the collection on display. This exhibit is set to remain open until Thursday, providing visitors with an extended opportunity to explore Khaite’s latest designs. Following the cocktail, a dinner was held with Khaite’s founder and designer Cate Holstein, taking place at the 10_11 restaurant within the Portrait hotel, enriching the event with an intimate dining experience.
In addition to Khaite, Antonia presented a temporary showcase for Berryman’s Applied Art Forms, which will also be available for viewing until Thursday. This presentation features two distinct lines: the Atelier Collection and the AAF Collection. Berryman describes the Atelier Collection as inspired by vintage sartorial garments and antique Dutch workwear styles. The collection is crafted in Japan, Italy, and Portugal and includes various garments such as leather jackets, tailored shirts, oversized cardigans, and canvas worker pants. Among the highlighted pieces is the Dutch worker jacket, constructed from heavy cotton canvas with a double-breasted closure and horn buttons. Berryman noted that this design was inspired by a traditional Dutch jacket historically used in local fishing communities during the late 19th century, a garment that he personally collects.
The AAF Collection marries workwear influences with elements drawn from Japanese street culture, including notable pieces like the mountain parka, which takes cues from mid-20th century mountaineering jackets while incorporating a modern silhouette.
Overall, these events not only showcase innovative designs and craftsmanship but also highlight the intersection of fashion and cultural influences, reaffirming Antonia’s role as a key player in Milan’s fashion landscape during this prominent week.
