LV Bridal Studio has launched in Colliergate, York, providing an array of unique bridal brands and a personalized experience for brides-to-be.
LV Bridal Studio has officially launched its operations in Colliergate, York, as of March 7. This new studio introduces an array of unique bridal brands to the city, marking a significant addition to the local wedding retail scene.
The studio is owned by 33-year-old Lauren Mason, who returned to her northern roots after spending over a decade in the fashion industry in London. In a move to maintain the charm of the historical building previously occupied by Nightingale, a wedding ring and jewelry designer, much of the renovation work was carried out by Lauren’s family, blending old-world character with a contemporary luxury ambiance.
Designed to offer a relaxed atmosphere for brides, each appointment at LV Bridal Studio lasts between one and a half to two hours. Brides are invited to unwind with a drink while exploring the studio’s selection of dresses, separates, and accessories. They can select around seven or eight favorites to try on, enhancing the personal experience.
The studio features two distinct areas: a front space showcasing dresses and accessories and a back section equipped with a podium, changing room, and fan. A curtain divides the two spaces, allowing brides to have a private moment for their transformation before making a grand reveal to their loved ones. In discussing this design choice, Lauren emphasized the importance of giving brides their special moment, stating, “I want them to feel amazing. Hopefully they can find the one but even if it’s not the one, it’s the feeling they get when they’re trying on the dresses,” which she shared during an interview with The Press.
LV Bridal Studio carries a range of sizes, from six to 16/18, and is committed to promoting size inclusivity. Adaptations have been made to ensure that customers can try on various sizes, and larger size options are available for order. The boutique will feature gowns from popular brands such as Halfpenny London and the Australian label Chosen by Khya, among others, alongside an extensive range of accessories like sleeves, bows, and veils. These options are designed to allow each bride to personalize her attire for both the ceremony and the reception.
The assortment of gowns is curated with a focus on high-quality fabrics, including silk, crepe, macrame, and lace. Lauren remarked on the excitement of introducing sought-after brands to York, saying, “A lot of these brands told me that they wanted to be in York, so it’s great to be able to bring them here.” With the intention of catering to the modern bride and her unique vision, she added, “I wanted to create something that spoke to the girls and women of today and let them be the bride that they want to be.”
LV Bridal Studio is now open for business and is currently accepting appointments via its website. Dress prices range from £1,800 to £6,000, with the majority priced between £2,000 and £3,000, offering a broad spectrum for prospective brides in the area.
