Local companies HarperSage and Parker + Scott join forces to launch a combined flagship boutique and market, celebrating women and sustainable practices.

Austin will soon welcome a new shopping destination as local companies HarperSage and Parker + Scott join forces to launch a combined flagship boutique and market. The grand opening is set for March 8, conveniently coinciding with International Women’s Day, at their location on 4803 Burnet Rd. This collaboration aims to provide a one-stop shopping experience centered on sustainability and community engagement.

Spanning 2,000 square feet, the boutique will feature a carefully curated selection that includes fashion items, home goods, and apothecary essentials, all accentuated by a thoughtfully designed interior with pastel hues and floral murals. The collaboration between HarperSage, known for its conscious, small-batch fashion, and Parker + Scott, which focuses on eco-friendly products and supports local artisans, reflects a shared vision among the founders, who are both women entrepreneurs.

“This serves as an opportunity for us to showcase our brands together,” said Haisley, representing HarperSage. “Our customers are the same customer; they just haven’t met yet.” She emphasized the need in Austin for an intentional shopping experience that prioritizes sustainability and community focus.

HarperSage will prominently display its unique clothing line, which is produced in collaboration with a SEDEX-certified, women-led factory in India. These garments are made using surplus natural fabrics, underscoring the brand’s commitment to ethical fashion. Parker + Scott will complement this offering with a range of sustainable products, including everyday essentials and a refill bar that features eco-friendly apothecary items like face oils and shampoos.

In discussing the design of the new space, Haisley said, “I really wanted to design the space kind of like a coffee shop, where you walk through a distillery, so people can walk through the studio and see our process.” She feels that it is crucial to educate consumers about the origins of their clothing without adopting a preachy stance.

The grand opening event will kick off at 10:30 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, alongside additional activities such as complimentary coffee and pastries, face painting, a flower cart, and a raffle. Future workshops are also planned, with topics ranging from soap-making to Easter egg painting.

Haisley expressed her excitement about the collaborative effort, stating, “Our community is incredible—not just small business owners, but creators and makers, many of whom are women.” She highlighted the prioritization of local, women-owned, and sustainable businesses when sourcing new products.

This new venture aims not only to celebrate individual brands but also to cultivate a space where community members can connect and inspire one another. The Austin community can anticipate a vibrant addition to its shopping landscape that champions sustainability for years to come.
