Apparel brand Off Season, co-founded by Emma Grede, has appointed Victoria Picca as its first president to enhance its position in the sports fashion market.
Off Season, a newly established apparel brand co-founded by Emma Grede, who is also a key figure behind the popular shapewear brand Skims, along with designer Kristin Juszczyk, is making strategic moves by appointing its first president. Victoria Picca, previously the senior vice president of business affairs at Fanatics, has taken on this significant role within the sports fashion brand.
At Fanatics, Picca had a notable career, managing the licensing department responsible for a vast portfolio of over 700 global licensees. Her leadership facilitated the negotiation of major agreements with various sports leagues and clubs, collectively bringing in more than $2 billion in sales, according to Off Season. Prior to her tenure at Fanatics, Picca dedicated 14 years to the NBA, where she advanced to the position of senior vice president of licensing and business affairs.
Emma Grede, the chief executive officer of Off Season, highlighted Picca’s impressive track record, stating, “Vicky’s exceptional leadership and business acumen will be a game-changer for Off Season. Her expertise will play a crucial role as we continue to scale, push boundaries and solidify Off Season as a dominant force in the market.”
Kristin Juszczyk, who is married to San Francisco 49ers player Kyle Juszczyk, also expressed enthusiasm about Picca’s appointment. She remarked on Picca’s extensive knowledge of sports licensing and passion for innovative partnerships, stating, “We are confident that her leadership will elevate Off Season to new heights, seamlessly blending fashion and sports in a way that genuinely connects with fans.”
In her new role at Off Season, Picca will oversee the company’s business operations alongside brand strategy and growth initiatives. This includes the potential for future licensing deals, global expansion efforts, and product innovation as the brand aims to carve out its niche within the sports fashion sector.
Off Season made its debut in January 2022, launching a line of NFL-themed unisex apparel featuring puffer vests, jackets, and coats tailored for five teams: the San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, and Buffalo Bills.
Emma Grede is widely recognized for her co-founding roles in several successful brands, including Skims and Good American, a denim label associated with Khloé Kardashian. Her husband, Jens Grede, has also co-founded Frame Denim in addition to Skims.
